I guess it would be cheaper than fox pee and I wouldn't have to trot through the store with a bottle of pee and look a random cashier in the face.

Hubs pee would be better...womens pee is not as intimidating he is trying to do you a favore

Yeah I don't think mine would be too scary. Skunks don't fear a good hollering at. Hub's is just so stinky there are bears that don't smell that bad. That is why I got all "don't do that!" about it.

Have ya'll ever had a chicken lose a pattern and have it come back?

Marlene July 6th 2016, the day I got her she has a pattern.

July 11, 2016 no patten. This last molt her pattern is coming back. Her son has the same patten just much stronger. She's been soild white for a long time. Well she's white on top but underneath is black, like if feathers get pulled out black grows in and then white. But seriously what in the world?

They often look a lot different after a molt

Yup. All the birds that I have had that are spotted, patterned, striped, mottled, laced etc look different after each molt.

It is just weird she only had a pattern for a couple days when she first got here then just went white. Last year's molt still just white. This year boom pattern is back. She's never looked much different just cleaner. Not knocking her little pattern I just haven't seen it in two years.

Was she under 27 weeks old when you got her? She may have lost the pattern at the last juvenile molt

Poor Cream Puff is not well.

This was her Friday.

I found her huddled in the coop dripping with mud today.

A warm rinse and a car ride.

Both her wings are at least half new feathers. Most of her body is covered in them.

A snack in front of the heater.
I don't like the way she looks. She's very huddled. That heater is set to 80° and she hasn't moved. I keep turning her like a rotisserie. Warm one side, then the fluffy butt, then the other side.
No other signs of sickness. No cough or sneeze. No bubbly eyes. She hasn't pooped since we've been here so not sure on that. Belly feels fine. She's not thrilled with eating either. She just stands in the warm breeze.
And Gladys keeps doing this weird thing to freak me out. She screeches but not like "get away" she sounds scared. And when I look in her bad leg is stretched forward and her head is down, eyes closed. Almost like she's trying to scratch her face but it's scary looking. I don't know if she's having a seizure or what. So I'm off to YouTube for videos....

No idea how old she actually was but i'd wager under 27 weeks. Those two pictures of her are only a couple days apart though. One is the 6th and one the 11th so in that little span the patten just dissapeared. Her son got it and now it is back on her.
