Nunny she is holding herself like Lulu is at the moment huddled up, neck scrunched in. She looks miserable and lays down alot. Nothing but pinfeathers under the wings and belly. She's not eating great either. But I swear they could be twins right now.:(
Legs like an eagle!
Yes! Strong boy! Bit me through clothes and drew blood just with pressure. He lives with turkeys now.:lau

Everyone has been carried in through the garage. I’ve washed all towels or blankets between uses. New coop still isn’t occupied but my coop shoes have only been in the old coop.
Good. I WILL SEND YOU NEW SHOES IF YOU PROMISE ME YOUR POTENTIALLY CONTAMINATED ONES WILL NEVER TOUCH THE NEW COOP!
send me your shoe size and address.

Well... the dreaded M word has been brought up. I feel sick. With no vet to refer me and my great ag lab only taking referrals I don’t know what to do.
I’m really hoping it’s a horrible string of bad luck and not a deadly outbreak of a contagious disease.
It is possible but initial mareks is usually when they are young and then secondary mareks is cancer after age two

Nunny that does not look like the "M" word on Puffy. That looks like OMG molting is killing me. Are her eyes even a little sunken?

Don't panic. Nothing I have seen you post screams scary M word to me. Bad luck? Absolutely. Reasons for general concern? Yes. But I would need much stronger evidence to convince me of M word—and I have seen it up close and personal before.

X2 on the OMG "killer" molt.
Amelia still spends all day hiding and sometimes isn't even interested in fish or other treats. And Buttercup (who started a hard molt a few days ago) spends most of her time lying down, standing hunched, and/or preening.

That’s really what I’m hoping! I’m making myself crazy reading about it.
The first in the sting of losses was CC. She was named that because she had curved toes at hatch. A sign of Mareks but she lasted 2 years?
Next was that little cockerel. He seemed like wry neck. But that could be mistaken for Mareks. He was from my Swedish Flowers. But not CCs eggs.
Next was Sugar. (2) Her eye is the Mareks clue. I always thought it had something to do with that balloon over her eye. That’s not a Mareks sign but I could never explain it.
No idea on Trouble. (2) He never had paralysis or any classic symptoms. He just dropped dead. (Which can be Mareks)

Gladys (under 1) has not gotten worse per say. I’m not sure what this new stretching thing is. I guess that could be a sign.
Cream Puff (3) is all puffed up and feeling miserable. But again no classic signs.

I looked at Lulu tonight, crop not full at all for her. Slicked her cheek puffs down her eyes are tired and sunken. She's just worn out. If she stands more than a little while she's alseep. She's cold, sore, and miserable. Doing all I can but it is sad to watch.:(
