It got down to 34 last night and we had a hard frost. The piggies didn’t want to come out until about 9 am even though it was light at 6:30. They are now happily eating clover and exploring their pen. They are 2.5 months old and really tiny.

Rae, you might want to consider a couple of hot wires inside the fence at 6 and 12 inches. I still haven't found a good solution, as the adults plop their butt on the wire and break it and the kids put their nose under the fence and lift it up and take off. Without adults, the hot wire should prevent escapes.

The hog panels seem to be working fine for now. I don’t know how I would get a hot wire over there. We’ll be keeping an eye on them for now.

My babies spend more time out then in. They don't go far and go in when told to, or when feed is put out. Never had this issue with ham or bacon.

We’ll fix it if this becomes a problem. Their pen is right next to our lane which has a bit of traffic.
