Christmas is my favorite time of year! The weekend after Thanksgiving, the tree goes up, the Christmas dishes are brought out and the Christmas music starts playing. We go to DH family's house on the weekend closest to Christmas since they live out of town and have a dinner and gift exchange. We do Church on Christmas eve and sometimes swing by my uncle's house depending on how adventurous were feeling since they ALWAYS have a big party. Christmas day, the kids have us up before the crack of dawn. DH makes eggnog and we eat a Christmas breakfast (sent from DH's mom in Florida) then we all go back to bed lol. Later, we, and most of my extended family all end up at my parent's house for a big Christmas dinner and ice cream cake for my cousin's b'day. This year we've already gotten all shopping done and everything wrapped already! Love it!

Sounds like a blast! I am happy you enjoy the holiday.
Already all wrapped! :th
You are way ahead of many others.

Well they updated the temp........ It's 11°.
Brrrrrrrrr.

Gonna be refreshing/thawing chicken waterers often today.

You can try adding a bottle of salt water into the waterers. Salt water doesn’t freeze as quickly as regular water so it can give you a bit more time before you have to change the water again.

Thanks :love
but I use the bell waterers so the roos keep the wattles out..., somewhat better than the dishes.
The water in the bell is fine, it's the little trays... I have to check for eggs regularly anyway.
It's all part of my winter exercise program :gig

Good afternoon! I'm stocked up and ready for the weekend ice craziness. The stores are already a dang warzone so we will be eating "interestingly" to say the least. I was lucky enough to get a gallon of milk but the bread isle was sad. I did score a 12 pack of hamburger buns, so anything sandwichy is fun on a bun. Got some birdseed/budget chicken food and a little waaaay overpriced watermelon to stove off any boredom riots. I'm good to go.:yesss:
