The egg situation isn't that great here either. I get one a day, rarely two. Maybe they'll get back to it soon.
We are not going to increasing daylight hours. It usually takes until mid January for them to start up and increases after that.
 
It probably doesn't help that most of my birds are Cochins/Cochin mixes and Dark Cornish. But I'm not really getting anything from my New Hampshires, EEs, and one leghorn either.
Australorps and rocks are winter layers. You might do well with them where you live...Like you need more chickens!

I''m pretty certain I'll be doing some swap outs, I like the Cochins because they are ok layers for how much meat they give. Their breast meat is about half way between traditional DP bird and a Cornish. Plus, I think their feet produce more gelatin in my stock than other birds. I may get a more dependible year round egg laying breed. But not 100% sure on that.
