Official Squatch Watchers

More like chicken hoarders, in the name of SOP’s maybe.
If they were really working towards SOP they would cull, cull, cull (either by sending less than perfect specimens to freezer camp or selling them as “pet” quality). The more less than perfect birds you keep, the more likely you are to ruin your chances at achieving the SOP.

Stacey,
I love your logic in "silly persons" thread.

Yes that thread needs to die quietly.
:caf
Yeah. Thanks.
What I wanted to say was, STOP FEEDING THIS MONSTER, PEOPLE!

Lol. I’d like to be a mod for a little minute and press the magic button to shut that down.

Which thread is this? His aggressive cockerel thread? I saw he culled the bird.

I need some advice. As you all know I have some Seramas. One hatched 2 chicks in August and of course they are both roosters. So now I ha e 3 Serama roosters. Although Seramas are extremely sweet and gentle I worry about having 3 roosters. So far they seem to get along fine but I worry about them eventually fighting. What do you all think? Can 3 roosters get along ok?

Pretty much everything I have seen from them is contradiction after contradiction. They say one thing then a few posts later something just the opposite.
It makes it very confusing.

I get that. Like i said earlier, “hoarders”.

I’m still on coffee cup #1. Lol.
“Thoughts into Words” is not yet flowing.

Plus I’m out here with cooper and Sam trying to keep things quiet so DH can sleep in.

I have 1 rooster and 9 cockerels in a bachelor pad together. They get along fine, although I rigorously cull any overly aggressive ones. They tussle every now and then, but that is normal. As long as they aren’t ripping into each other on a regular basis it should even out.

I think my last count showed 8 roosters in my flock living together in peace from giant orpington to tiny Serama. They just need to sort their order, then they'll be fine.
