Aww, that stinks! I don't help if the head end is out, just put a little olive oil on any exposed membrane and hope for the best.
That butt end has way too much going on.

Maybe I can vent here. I killed a quail chick this morning!
My eggs hatched about 18 hours earlier than expected, starting at 5am this morning. They are still hatching - there's nearly 70 eggs in the incubator, of which about half have hatched.
Anyway, I chick looked stuck and the membrane was really rubbery looking. So I decided to help it out. As it was getting out of the egg, I thought the membrane was stuck to the chick so I gently helped remove the half of the shell from it's bottom end. I apparently tore a blood vessel of some sort and it bled quite a bit. I stopped the bleed with a paper towel and light pressure, and then placed the chick back in the incubator. A while later, the chick was laying dead in the incubator. It was bleeding anymore, but I think it just lost too much blood. These little quail chicks don't have much blood as it is. Now I'm extra cautious to help any others.

....
( who has chickens so he must be ok)

.... if had know I wouldn't have been charging him for eggs. I had my suspicions and had given him extra eggs before when I had a ton... But he is too proud to take total freebies.
