Does anyone else have a cat that drags laundry around the houseView attachment 1645607 View attachment 1645608 View attachment 1645609 View attachment 1645611what a weirdo
Growing up we had one that was abandoned by Mom at birth. This was about 1972 and we did not have access to any kitten formula. I found a Barbie bottle and fed him thinned with water canned milk.

He was a weird cat! When grown he would grab a towel, roll over on his back and nurse on it!

Oddly, he was one of my favorites....

It was because of not being properly weened

@BReeder! ,
have you tried hobbling the splayed legs on the babies before making the decision to cull?
on some I am trying braces of sports wrap tape. seeing if it works. there's about 6 total with bad legs out of the 59 that hatched. 6 have passed away post hatch as well. There's only 3 or 4 alive with splayed legs.

Oh that’s sad!
I’d be boosting them with vitamins too

@apryl29 ...Wait ..why on earth would you not shuck nuts for your chickens? Nut shuckin is easy and fun! They'd really appreciate your nut shuckin efforts too. If it is too tedious make a game out of it, see how many nuts you can shuck in a minute. Shuck them nuts woman! :gig

:love
My tiny human LOVED penguins and I was always sad that I was never able to dress her up as a penguin. Of course they FINALLY came out w/ those pajama costume things when she was too old and going out of interest. I never got her one of those chicken suits. This year we opted for normal xmas pjs (much cheaper and they actually WEAR THEM!).

Beautiful kitty! My dad's cat Casey LOVED towels. If you have a basket of towels she'll crawl in. When my mom had her hip surgery I was folding towels and she climbed into the basket and meowed & swatted me every time I tried to take something out to fold it. If you want her to come over to you all you have to do is put a towel on your lap.

I shelled the first nuts so they knew what they were.. the next ones I squashed but didn't open.. now I just through handfuls out. They grab and run and shake and peck.. keeps them active
used to have one that would bring me a sock, bottle cap or ring to throw and play fetch
Great idea. For some reason I thought the shells would be an issue... like they'd eat them or try to eat them whole. I'm def going to get some. The prisoners are getting restless.

Jasmine was like that, basically she was sick and I took her in to give her meds... she would try to nurse on my neck or earlobes. I got her a big stuffed animal and she'd paw at and nurse on it. She was a weirdo. She'd sit in the window when she was an inside cat and call out to birds she saw in the window trying to lure them over to her. We also had a siamese that thought he was human. His mother got hit by a car and was bottle fed too. I swear when they're raised by a human they think they're human.

I'm not shucking nuts b/c I'm not shuckin nuts. Ain't no one got time for that!

I'll probably get a bag and step on the bag to make it a little easier on them.

Sometimes I wish my old cat was a little normal.
Protocol here is usually to get a kitten when the housecat gets to be a senior so it isn't such a shock when the cat dies.
Can't do that with her, she's terrified of kittens, like instant diarrhea terrified. :th
Oh no!
That’s how we do dogs as in:
“Cooper is an overlap dog!”
