Official Squatch Watchers

Good morning, Squatchers! :caf

I have been a little absent, but I'm back. Been working hard at my new job (and loving it! Yay!) and taking a little quiet time...yesterday was the first anniversary of my mom's death, and I've just been mourning her and haven't had a lot to say.

I'm glad that day is over. I cried and lit a bunch of candles, and did a few shots of Fireball in her memory. I think the anticipation of dealing with that day was worse than the actual day. I know it gets easier with time, I've had a lot of deaths, unfortunately.

Anyway, on to happier stuff. Suzi healed up really well with her broken beak and bloodied self. After a few days of ICU and TLC she went back in the coop, and she is fine. Her beak is growing back slowly, and she looks funny but she is eating well and is totally back to her normal self. :D

No more predator attacks. Hubby has been beefing up the security even more ever since, as my coops/runs situation wasn't quite the Fort Knox I thought it was.

I miss my sweet Willow and my big green egg layer Maya. I've been giving the other birds lots of love and extra treats. I think Deila misses her twin sister Willow:hit.

Tomorrow is supposed to be 51, then drop down to 6!!! Is that crazy or what?! I'm thinking I should put my Seramas, Serama mixes, and Flower in the garage. Suzi, what are you doing with your tiny birds? I'm sure your weather has to be freaking cold.

It's good to be back! Love you guys! :love

Cindi

Yup. It’s coming up. Feb 7.
I’m gonna be tougher this year.

:hugs:hugs

@Molpet if you or anyone you know might be interested in this guy’s birds let me know and I’ll give you his info. He is on the eastern shore of VA, so it would be a further drive for you.
I is tempting, but i have no one to watch the poultry while I am gone. :barnie

Coop temp is only a few degrees above reported outside temp but humidity is a few percent below. Temp is a good 15° above "feels like" temp.

Did do a little feed bag wind block in the back corner. I didn't get all the corners on the outside covered in time.

As for Twinkle Toes

Giant pin feathers. I'm really thinking that's what's causing her ballerina impression.
That has GOT to hurt!

For people with a sense of humor...especially pigeon lovers.

Three Faverolles

A German Salmon Faverolle (Faverolles Tedesca Salmonata). He was scored B92
The Italians differentiate the German Faverolles from the original (French) Faverolles as being distinct varieties.

And another Faverolle, an Argentata Frumento (silver wheat) with a higher score, MB94
