Weatherbug says it's 27* but feels like 18* my weather station says it's 21* and it feels much closer to 10 or 12 out there. Brrrrrr It wasn't supposed to get below 30 last night.

We didn't get much snow but the blowing part has roads a mess, schools closed, general panic.

I figure I can have 40 full size chickens in my coop.... I already have 7 bantam and 2 half bantam. But I gave Pat extra room.... so 2 Brahma girls and 6 other standards...maybe 8....

I would love a Brahma...but can you imagine Brahmas and Seramas together.

Good morning! 24 degrees and breezy out there. Everybody was still ready to run out and be chickens though. Must have stayed pretty warm out there, they all had the toastiest feet.

I would love a Brahma...but can you imagine Brahmas and Seramas together.

I’m trying to imagine what a Serema/Brama cross would look like. That would take one spunky little rooster, I don’t think it would work the other way round without resulting in a squished hen.

We survived the night. Thing 1 slept straight through until about 6:45. I woke up around 1:45am and checked and he was toasty warm. DH got up with him and let me get back to sleep. Just woke up a few minutes ago.
