It is so cold that Thing 1 didn’t want to go to bed. He kept getting up and asking to “cuddle Mommy”. I then figured out that he was cold. He has fleece feety pajamas on, so I couldn’t dress him much warmer. So I took the heating pad that I keep in my work chair and put it under the sheet in his crib so he couldn’t get to it. I have it on low (setting 1 of 6)with the auto off set. @staceyj, you’ll be happy to know I secured the cord out of his reach as well. I know you aren’t supposed to sleep on them, but I’ve slept on this heating pad with it up on higher settings (with auto off set) before and didn’t have any issues with it hurting me, so I think the boy will be alright. I know trying to get to sleep when you are cold is miserable and ya gotta do what you gotta do. Poor guy went right to sleep once he got warmed up.

Poor little guy. Yes being cold is awful.

That new house cannot come quick enough when you're cold.

I promise. His blanket is a really heavy fleecy thing that is very warm, but I’m going to dig out a heavier blanket to put on top of that one.

And yes, the new house can’t come soon enough.
 
Got out my old Minnie & Mickey Mouse blanket to put over him. I got that thing for my 5th birthday, so it is over 28 years old. The cord in the picture is my headphones.

It is snowing here now. I did not do the emergency store run.
