Took Sallie to the vet late yesterday. Apparently she has a heavily infected toe. No wound it started under her toenail that she is now missing.
Sooo antibiotics and rest are her prescription. She's still eating and pooping ....alot of both and in good spirits. She does not seem to mind lounging and room service too much at all lol!
And the lady across the road has an even wose foot, she has a septic infection in hers.
They've already done two surgeries in less than three days.:hmm

Thank You for all the edits. I just got back in from a coop clean out, respray of butts and coop, and I tried to dig out the coop door. Not sure if I had mentioned I've had to use a hammer to chisel the frozen ground away more then once to even squeeze through the door opening.
I also spent what seemed like forever trying to capture Pat's new crow! Every 12 to 15 crows he now yells "F●ck It AALLLLL!"

Already done, made her a little extra strong shot for her water AND extreme cared her toe which she promptly flopped over drew her foot up and got a taste of.:gig
Gah guys CARP evening for rizzle! Hubs is ralphie, and wouldn't you know around 5:30 I see a raccoon in the yard.
I still made him get up and shoot it.
Yep, sick as a dog but I still made him a hitman and I don't feel one bit guilty about it.

You can bandage her toe and drip the liquid right on it. It will penetrate through bandage and scales and skin.

I noticed the penetrating action on hub's gnarly toenail it just sucked it right up.

I had hoped that as I threw mice into the yard the 20 big hens roaming around would have at least got one!

I am going to have to go all out war on them. I can set bucket traps once it stops freezing at night.

Until then I may have to resort to poison.....not something I am comfortable with.
