Official Squatch Watchers

I am really crying right now........ I didn't mean ANYTHING but to protect Ruby,...... and I might be gone now.....

This SUCKS
Dear Smuv! Take a break, have a hot bath and a toddy. It will be ok. Life will go on. We love you no matter what. Give one of us your phone number just in case you need updating!

Folks, might I suggest we shift back to our regular conversations. The site staff work really hard to keep this from turning into facebook. Under review simply means that a complaint is being reviewed, but they choose to do it privately. The vast majority of the folks I've dealt with here are intelligent and work to understand context. Then they go the extra mile by explaining and helping so future issues don't arise.

let's just go back to our regularly scheduled programming and not worry about it. I trust cooler heads will prevail.

:goodpost: Fellow squatchers our beloved smuvs is sad. Lets all try to cheer her up!!! Anyone got any fun or interesting news? Silly stories? Cool new ideas or projects?

I'm in the last week of my semester and have been studying turkey domestication for one of my archaeology classes and came across an interesting tidbit of info. Did you know that Maya women in Yucatan Mexico traditionally add a few newly hatched chicken chicks to every clutch of baby turkey poults that they raise? The chicks are called "Koos" and they act as tiny fluffy poultry mentors teaching the baby turkeys the ways of the world. <3

Of course I am also picturing the little chicks wearing battle armor and saying "come with me if you want to live!" but I am weird like that.

Anyway, anyone heard about this or tried it? RJ do your turkeys get a koos? Also can we all agree that RJ is *our* koos?

Love you smuvs!!!!:hugs

Yes, my turkey poults get about 5-1 week old koos in the brooder. What's really funny is they bond. My 20+ week old koos don't go in their chicken houses at night, but instead sleep in between the turkeys on their roost. A barred owl recently tried to grab one as a late night snack and the turkey's ate the owl.:yesss:
