Our last frost is usually the first week of May. I have seen it snow on the fourth of July though.
We can see cold crops in early April depending on ground conditions.

I try to have peas in by the first week of April. Some years it works others it's a total bust.

Like azygous said, that has to be the worst case of internal laying ever reported on this site. Hopefully she can find someone to help her put her bird down.

Oh wow, I came back to a chick with a big tounge lump and a clump laying hen "still don't get how the shock of passing that didn't kill her".
Anyhow, finally pushed hubs out the door and tried to pay the water bill but the bank's site is down due to smoke in the server room lol!
MIL keeps trying to get hubs to go see her doctor freind, the same one that ran one whole test on me.
Nope, never again the vet's office is cleaner than that place.

I just had an idea, maybe I should do an article for the contest about how I cull chicks. I frequently find myself having to retype everything to give instructions to people who are asking how to cull.

Also noticed Hobo's comb is so plump it jiggles now, iv'e never seen a rose comb jiggle.

Mine are 2 Australorp eggs and 2 Orpington eggs.
Since I have just 2 Orpingtons those Australorp better get with it soon. I have like 13 of them.

What the h3ll! I'm getting 1 maybe 2 eggs a day. Had a Marans laying and she quit. Egret was laying and she stopped too!
I got a bunch of spoiled slackers. 17 girls out there that all be at or past POL. 1 egg today. 1!
