That would work, but I don't live w/ my chickens so she'd be sitting on a block of ice all night once it got cold.Hot water bottle?

Depends on the henIf she's truly broody she'll probably take them.
Awwww. Poor little chick.Depends on the hen
I had 2 chickens I gave eggs to, at the same time. 4 turkey and a week later 4 chicken eggs each. The first hen left the nest halfway though so I put the eggs in the incubator. The 2nd hens turkey eggs hatched early and she left the pipped chickens eggs... so they went in the bator too. The next night I had a dry poult and chick I stuck under her. Next morning everything seemed fine. an hour later i found her looking at the extras poult like it didn't belong but she would let it under her..... However she was pecking the chick very aggressive when it tried to go under her.... and it was bleeding.... so it went back in the house with the others.

There are WAY too many eggs for those two girls to keep warm, probably close to 30 of them. Most of them on the outside are probably not viable. The ones in the middle are likely to be the only ones that developed. I'll go candle them later tonight to see how many to toss.
Question I'm going to ask here b/c it's probably stupid but the eggs that are sticking out the side... are they warm enough, or is it likely they're not getting enough heat to survive?
That should make it a lot easier for you then, less guilt about tossing partially developed eggs since the outer ones likely won't hatch anyway. There are WAY too many eggs for those two girls to keep warm, probably close to 30 of them. Not bothering to catch up right now.
My sweet old guy Jonah wasn’t himself this weekend.

Bloodwork...

F-ing cancer.
She said this will go fast.
Steroids to give him a boost seem to be helping.
Love this dog.
Please keep him in your thoughts.
