We're still recovering from Saturday. We had our first competition of the year. It went well. It was a very long day & hopefully they get the kinks worked out over the next month. Of the 2 dances my child is in, they got high gold for both, a special award for the clogging number & 9th over all for the production number.
My younger one is sick today and I'm taking her to the dr soon. Her stomach is bothering her again & her ears hurt. She was only awake for about 2 hour yesterday. She's got some spots on her hand that look like bug bites, but she's saying it itches under her finger nails which wouldn't be from a bug bite.
The big one actually made it to school today at least. First day of track practice... there's snow on the ground so they'll be practicing inside today.
Last week I ended up at the dr b/c I'm having trouble breathing. My heart rate was elevated so they did an ekg and that looked fine, all the blood work was fine too. I'm waiting to hear about the chest xray I got on Friday. I have a pulmonary function test in 2 weeks... So at least one of us isn't sick right now.
I let Klaus back out w/ everyone else on Friday night. Her feathers have grown in where they had been pecking at her. Her comb looks good too. Hopefully they leave her alone now. I need to reworm everyone on Thursday. I cannot wait for the weather to warm up enough so I can clean out the coop. Everything is so gross in there.

I am hoping i can sell the Buff Laced Polish and the last 2 Speckled sussex so i can do a total clean and repaint the inside of the first coop i built here. I want to build bigger nest boxes as well.

I got 30 lbs of Kerrygold salted butter and 2 lbs unsalted. We don’t use unsalted butter much but it is nice to have on hand when you need it.

Between the butter and the maple syrup (12 bottles of organic grade A), that’s probably over $300 of the $900 right there. Two big boxes of diapers is another $90.

Why Thing 1 isn’t allowed out unsupervised, that and the streams/ponds/neighbors dogs/cows/bulls.

I want to get a fenced play area we can monitor from in the house for when he is a bit older.

I bought one kerry gold and one Kirkland salted butter.

Since the store is close to me, I do not need to store a lot of it. I baked cookies with the kerry gold and they were very good!

It is a 3 hour drive to the nearest Costco for us. I can’t see using anything but Kerrygold anymore. Regular butter doesn’t even taste like butter to me anymore. The only thing that is just as good, if not slightly better is red feather canned butter.
