The vinegar steaming seems to be working, it still isn't normal but it is getting better.
Making the house smell like hot pickles though.

I hate that about cleaning the coffee pot. I certainly don't want coffee after. LOL You could also try soaking it in vinegar. If there is a way to.... a rag wrapped over the spout maybe.

Iv'e popped the whistle part off and i'm soaking it in moonshine.
The crud coming out is unreal.
I'm going to have fun putting it back on, I don't think they planned on anybody removing it.
That kettle is still 30 dollars! Iv'e had mine five years easy and they're still that much.

You might want to get some CLR. It sounds like you have hard water at your place

I've used rocket fuel to clean things. Amazing what comes off with high proof alcohol.

This stuff would make Mr.Clean give up the ghost.
