Hello everyone! I've had a busy weekend. Saturday, we redid the drainage off the access road on this hill behind the house because. My dad used his tractor and we just had to help a little with shovels and watching that he didn't dig up any gas lines. We needed to do this because a lot of the water from the access road was draining into what will be our leach field for our septic. We hope that, along with a swale behind the houses along the hill and around the leach field will help keep things drier. My dad also cleared our access road of some brush and took some large stones to use in the spillway for his pond. Which is fine, we have plenty of rocks.
Sunday, we went to church and did some household chores.
Today, I had midwife and physical therapy appointments (PT is for hip/pelvic joint pain). Baby is doing well and I'm in much less pain before I started doing PT and I'm not even doing the exercises like I should. We also took a tour of the hospital delivery setup and ran a couple errands, so we got back just in time to do Thing 1's nighttime routine.
I'm beat.
Saturday, we leave to head to PA to celebrate DH's Grandmother's 90th birthday. Her birthday isn't until May, but DH's Aunt, who is a missionary in Lithuania, will be in the US for a visit this coming week, so they shifted the birthday celebrations to take advantage of her being in town. I'm really glad they aren't waiting until May to have the party. Long drives are already hard on me.
I do look forward to the happy daffodils every year.
Now if the city workers would stop stomping through the garden! The meter isn't transmitting right so into the flower bed they go.

You might need a fence!

Is there a path and clear spot in front of the meter big enough for a person to work in? Otherwise they don't have much choice.
Being someone that did that kind of work, I can tell you it's very hard to do your job when people keep blocking the access.

yep they are tired.. after the 3rd house they are like what is wrong with these peopleI have giant flagstone stepping stones through the bed. They ignore them.
I think the ground is thawed enough to change the fencing so they can access it from the street. That's the plan anyway.
The last guy made at least 6 trips through the flowerbed......across purple parrot tulips, standard daffodils, crocus, black iris, and even stepped right in the middle of a miniature rose that was well over a foot tall.
Yeah.....I was less than pleased.
Always had to move stuff to get in.
One day I was in there working with the door shut, to try and keep the noise down, and 4 hrs later when I went to leave something was in front of the door. It opened out incase there was a fire or other emergency and we had to get out quick. I shoved that door so hard the microwave fell off the cart and the whole cart on rollers went flying.. papers everywhere.. people jumped up and ran
I went off asking them if they didn't know how to read or were they trying to trap me.
FYI due to energy conservation they were not supposed to have their own microwaves or coffee pots. I filed a grievance due to unsafe conditions. Ended up they had to get rid off the coffee pot and microwave and quit blocking the door. Which lasted a couple of years... so when they started blocking the door again I would trash whatever was in the way.The transmitter for our water meter is in the lid. It transmits back to the city and they give us real time water usage. I can tell what time I took my morning shower.I have one....unfortunately the meter itself is in the ground on the main line about 18" inside my yard. It is supposed to transmit to a receiver on the side of the house. The fence was out in to keep people from letting their dogs tromp through and poop in my flowers.

Love it!yep they are tired.. after the 3rd house they are like what is wrong with these people
I have been known to do things like that... Had doors to an air handlers room with signs on it not to block the door. Admins had decided to make a room in front of our air handler room and stick some poor souls in there.... bit noisy.... anyway I had talked to the people numerous times about blocking the door.Always had to move stuff to get in.

I am surprised they did not try to pin you with creating a hostile work environment....
