Official Squatch Watchers

Iv'e been secretly fretting that I might not have enough roost space. Tonight the obvious stood out, iv'e got six feet of roost with one hen on it.
It is Hobo,so that MOFO is still full. Unless she suddenly learns to share I need to start thinking about a baby wall.:caf

Thing 1 hasn't puked since 9:30 this morning, but now has a fever and is a bit out if it again. I'm not worried about dehydration because he's been sucking down fluids all afternoon. My mom has him now to give him a hot bath while I work, and to scrub him down because he smells like puke and diarrhea.
Hope he is back to normal for you soon!

I don't think it has always been like that, but they got greedy on new people. It really dosen't surprise me much, greed is pretty much the norm these days.:(
There has always been greed, it’s just that now, people aren’t afraid to flaunt it anymore.
I say this with heartfelt sadness.

What a nice mom.
Sick kids are always smelly no matter what they are excreting.

Still thinking of smelly sick kids.
One of our kids had strep so many times I knew with 100% certainty by the smell of her breath.
We actually called it “sick breath”.
Now I had worked with both of these doctors and several of the nurses too.
I’d call the office and say we were coming by for a rapid strep test and one time a temp lady answered the phone.

“Oh. You mean you need an appointment...”
And I said no ma’am. They usually put me in the lab room and just hand me the swab tube.
I do it, write my kids name on it and they call me while Im driving home to let me know if I have to stop at the pharmacy on the way.

Oh they were good times.
We all cheered when the insurance company finally said yes to taking those tonsils out. For two years straight she had strep more than she didn’t.

I had my tonsils out at 21. Not fun at all. I may have told this story but I’ll reminisce anyway.

I woke up and couldn’t swallow. No pain. No fever. But a Cheerio wouldn’t go down. So I look in my throat with a flash light and was scared. Went to the Dr. and when the nurse asked what I was in for I said the alien in my throat. She laughed but when she looked she actually backed up.

Gave me a round of steroids and they went down. Steroids cleared my system and I couldn’t swallow again. They said let’s take em out.

When I went for surgery consult I asked if my adenoids were big too. Dr. chuckled and said my tonsils were so big he couldn’t even see my adenoids.

In for surgery I go. Still no pain or fever. Took over 4 hrs to get them out. They were over 4x the size they should have been. So big they touched in the middle then went down my throat. They sent them off on show and tell. Nothing was wrong with them. They decided to have a growth spurt.

That’s how I found out I shouldn’t have liguid Tylenol 4. The stuff with codeine in. Hit my stomach and came right back. Not good on freshly cauterized throat tissue.

I miss my adenoids though. I’ve had more trouble with my sinuses sines those have gone. I can do a neat party trick of coughing food out my nose though. The lettuce with salad dressing on was not one I’d like to repeat.
