Official Squatch Watchers

Corid- I had it mixed 1.5 tsp/gallon. After that post, I made it 2tsp. I added sugar, although that has been shown to cause diarrhea in adults, but not sure about chickens.
When I got up this morning, she had cleaned her egg bowl and oats/buttermilk bowl and water dish was empty. She has been refilled with everything and 2 diarrhea poops, even got a fresh one to take to the vet this morning. Hubby came home and I slept in an extra hour.

She was ready to hop out of the cage this morning. I will take her to the garage after while, when hubby leaves for turkey hunting. I would like to put her in a small portable run I have, but I don’t want her freaking out again.
The poops should get solid soon and that red from the picture should go away. Nice report!

Oh, I see. The Corid is a single dose in addition too. My elevator doesn’t go to the top anymore. Can someone fix my cable???
Corid is 5 to 7 days at treatment strength and the 5 to 7 days are resistance strentgh. Fresh each day too.

There are places that you can mail poo in for testing. If your flock shows cysts, you can great for a couple of days each month for the flock. Over time, this will get rid of coccidiosis at your place

Hey guys,

So I've been pretty scarce lately, if any of y'all have noticed my big mouth's been missing, lol!

Basically...I was working a lot. And then suddenly, I wasn't. Unexpectedly found myself out of a job a week ago. And just as suddenly seemed to find a better one (I think), right by my house, 8 minutes away! No more commuting, in a small special-needs school, which is what I love to do. :)

So that's what's up! And, I went and got my taxes did last night, and--happily and also unexpectedly--found out that instead of having to pay, we're actually getting a little money back! Double yay! This is only the second year in my life I think that I've gotten my taxes done early, I hate numbers and am a big fat procrastinator, so that is a giant relief. :D

Baby chicks are growing like weeds (I will have to get pictures) other chickens and dogs (and hubby) all good.

I have this new weird obsession: air plants, AKA tillandsias. I got three at the Philly Flower Show and now am up to 19. They're addictive little boogers, not unlike chickens. :)

Sassy, warm welcome back! Oldhenlikesdogs...welcome to the Squatch! It's a good place to be. Everyone else, missed ya, good to be back, hugs and love and all that!!!! :love :hugs

So, the way I was reading it, was to do the 5-7 day treat, but do a loading/bolus/syringe dose too??

I don’t know anything about those knot things y’all are talking about. I will look that up.

We've been missing ya but figured you were busy.
Weird sometimes how life works. Hope the new, new job goes good. You'll have to tell that story one of these days.

I'm lucky I keeps weeds alive. The green thumb of my great grandmothers certainly missed me.

The suggestion of doing a corid drench with the corid water is to really knock it out of her system.
Oats are filling but have no value. So giving her something to fill her up that doesn't add anything nutritionally.
The joke here is mackerel for any illness. There is truth in the joke though. We just like to tease rjohns.
I go for salmon over mackerel...or look for the kind that isn't whole fish. No one warned me! Eggs are always good too.
My secret weapon is baby bird food. The kind you get to tube feed that really for baby parrots. Haven't found a chicken yet that can resist it.
