@Suzi18 they are sooooo pretty! Do they appreciate the bunny statue?

I don’t enjoy my Bantam EE (Alice) or Bantam Welsummers (Flo & Vera). They are too flighty and skittish. Vera is just a “dumb-dumb” too.
Haha I don't know. I was afraid they would roost on top of it and poop all over it, but they don't. I think the bunnies like it though.

I've always wanted a bantam EE but can't ever seem to find any around here

I don't think his giant chicken butt would fit in that bucket! I need to get a weight on him. He's huge! I'm glad I ordered 3 Brahama girls for him.

Ohhh less than two weeks! Hopefully you don't get teeny derps like Rene along with your brahmas Pat will make them even shorter! Maybe you'll get some big mamas like Lulu.:)

Chick tractor is 98% percent done, just need a door and a couple more zip ties "im out of ties and light" didn't think i'd have to redo the whole mofo but I did.
Plastic tractor making folks I can highly recommend the yardgard plastic fence for this purpose now.
I'm not kidding that stuff is so much sturdier and easier to work with than that black garden netting it isn't even funny.
I'd dare say a person could make a temporary run out of it if they wanted to.:)

I will have to look that up. I want to do a chicken tractor, I would need to watch out for foxes. We have 3 that run through our yard 24/7.

Sassy, if you can, try to get her on some metronidazole. Her poops look a bit like Gurtrude's before she was out on it. It can also so the growth of some parasites that could be causing her to not feel good. Meloxicam is another thing that may help her feel better, too. Another name for metronidazole is Flagyl. You would need to get the liquid for both, of course. If you look at the Flagyl - where to buy? thread, you can find out where to get it. If you get the tablet, you can crush it and put it in the food that your giving her via tube/syringe feeding. Check the medication section for dosage, since it should go by weight.
Thank you!!

Foxes couldn't just snatch one out, the holes are only an inch in the mesh. Because the fence is much thicker it made it heavier too so anything would have a time tipping it over.
My tractor is just a big ole cube made out of PVC pipe with that fence ziptied to the sides and top, bottom is open and I just slide it from place to place.:)
This is the exact stuff i'm using, seriously all you need are scissors to cut it.https://www.walmart.com/ip/YARDGARD-40-Inches-X-25-Foot-Plastic-Garden-Fence/36140983

I think a fox,dog or coon could tear that up... they tear up metal chicken wire

I have done just that. It worked pretty well.
:thumbsup

Oh yeah given enough time i'm sure they could. But believe it or not i'm thinking this stuff is stronger than chicken wire. I can break chicken wire by hand easy peasy but not this stuff it won't even stretch.
I'm here pretty much 24/7 so I think it would hold out plenty long enough for me to get out there and dispatch anybody wanting nuggets.
I wouldn't leave anyone in there overnight or when i'm not here though, but I wouldn't do that with a wire tractor too much of a worry wart.:)
