You would Derp sweet Bitty? That would probably satisfy the chick urge FOREVER!:lau
If raising derps puts an end to broodiness send some my way! Lila Broody Queen is the best mamma but lordy she's broody all the time. Her and the littles are out with the flock. So stinkin cute! I should bring my big cage in for the mass of chicks I have in the house and garage. Give them a little more leg room.

Found this this morning...

I guess she was hungry and not happy that the food was buried in shavings.
Alive but a little stiff when I first freed her. Pretty sure she's my poop bucket egg layer.

Stuck in the feeder, laying eggs in the doo doo sounds pretty derpy to me.:D
The only way I can tell Kim, Barb and Stacey apart is their "hair". Kim is dark, Barb is sort of mahogany and Stacey is blonde.
Stacey is also my only biter.:caf
Right!?! I can't tell her and her sister apart unless I catch them. One has a notch in one nostirl.

Besides of a couple of you, sounds like I'm not alone with the gloomy days causing a slack in eggs. The wet weather has certainly made weed pulling easier. I pulled a lot of weeds this afternoon and found lots of juicy worms for the girls.

I pulled a ton of weeds too. Worms were released to do work stuff.

OMG!!!! I thought she was dead too. I have a feeder like that in use too. I think I will cut a slot in a coffee can lid to cover it. If that won't fit I will use some stuff cardboard. I don't want that to happen here.
