I had to move her out of the popular nest a line was forming and poor baby still thinks she's laying even though she's done.
She is always weird after coming off being broody, like she fights herself and her body.
All I can do is kind of look after her, even for a derp she's special in a whooole lot of ways. She did actually get up to poop and eat this time, girl is learning.

I would like to also wish a belated Happy Mother's Day to all of us moms. I enjoy reading here, but am so far behind that I just thought I would say "HI". Good News from here, we are buying a house on 1/2 acre, hens OK, but no roosters. Lots of room for a garden and chicken yard!

As mom's know, our own babies sh*t don't stink. (Until they are ready to be potty trained, that is)!
Those cute guys eat every hour almost. Keeps 2 parents busy, dad brings food to the nest and feeds mom, who does all the brooding and feeding for African Greys.

Chickens have it easy in the raising chicks department. Dad barely does anything after donating the sperm. I wonder if artificial insemination for chickens is do-able?
