Official Squatch Watchers

Hobo was really good, no biting thank goodness i'm a braless wonder so there were chances taken. I don't think the shirt will ever be the same though.:gig
I had a parrot fly into a fly strip. STUCK! Many feathers lost, pulling off the sticky yellow strip. Fly strip goo on all feathers that remained! Into the sink (with long Hose faucet) and much Dawn dish soap later, and a blow-dry, hen parrot lived. Lots of scratches and beak marks on my body! Ever after, she wanted to climb into my arms for safety. Birds are smart, it was not fun for either of us!

@Parront I still don't type much unless something triggers a conversation, but I wanted to tell you how happy I am to see you back and chatting away.
Let's just say I am so happy to be healthy and getting a new place with chickens, that I am very chatty lately!

I'd rather be in AZ at 95 degrees than here at 80. I love heat with no humidity, but we didn't move someplace with low humidity because it usually means little water.
Not much water falling free from the sky here. You have to dig a well, put in gutters and a cistern for rain water, or (Shudder) haul your water! No hauling water for this old person!

Lucky that chickens can not bite in the same way a parrot can. Think "can opener" working on your skin. Take a good look at the beak on the "Dylan" Avitar, she can open an almond or a walnut, if she can get a grip on it. But, they are so adorable, we suffer anything for them! Shirts are $1.00 at the goodwill, birds are priceless!

Are you folks having any weird cold snaps like New Mexico? We keep yo-yoing between hot and cold. Today it didn't make it out of the 50s :th
Yes!

We are having February temps here currently

@apryl29 and @Suzi18 will probably agree we have had 3 seasons of temperatures in just the last week or so.

Well at least we are not the only ones then.

A freeze in late April or even early May is not unheard of around here, but the temp swings seem particularly bad this year. I hope I don't lose any fruit off the trees :hmm And I really hope the S stuff stays away from Henny!
