Nice! Hopefully the hardware cloth didn't beat you up too bad that stuff is awful to work with.
Ash laid her first egg yesterday after her broody attempt a few weeks ago. I got the hardware cloth attached to part of the run so the end that animals kept trying to get into is protected now. I'm going to put a door in so I can get into that part easier, but I need to figure out how I'm going to do that. I need to get a window for the right side of the coop and I'm going to raise the top of the run so I can stand up in the part closest to the coop.

But its peach! It is healthy fruit flavored so it can't be all bad.:D

Nope still bad. And bread and pasta and rice and corn and peas and and and. :hmm it never ends.

I ate a freaking piece of whole grain toast this morning. My glucose jumped 150 on the meter to 378. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Any bread is now on my never again list. :hit
It is a looooong list unfortunately.

Oh no! Even potato bread? Please tell me potato bread is o.k ? :(

Nope nope nope. Potatoes are the worst. A half of a small red potato like one would roast without cutting up jumped my reading just as bad as a whole slice of bread.

The important thing is to eat a balanced diet. Whole grain carbs are essential to long term health so you have to eat them.

Blood sugar will go up when you eat. It is normal. It should go back down in two hours though.

If you have not done it yet, go see a nutritionist to make sure you are eating correctly for type 2 diabetes and getting good nutrition

Up yes but over 100 point on the meter from one piece of whole grain bread or half a small potato.....:hmm

I can eat a very large salad with 2 boiled eggs, cucumber and bell pepper and only go up 25 on the meter. Yes that is with ranch dressing lightly applied.
That will be what is for lunch today. Dinner will be chicken fajita with no tortilla so more of a stir fry than anything.

I haven't been to a nutritionist yet. I am giving it 2 weeks more of diet control before I schedule a visit. That will put me 30 days of low carb no sugar eating.

I am hoping to reverse the diabetes with diet and exercise.

It will get better!

Definitely cut the white sugar and other simple carbs. The nutritionist will tell you that whole grains contain most of the nutrients that we need. It is very hard to stay healthy without them which is why celiac disease is so bad.

One person on a different thread pushed herself into brewery syndrome. Any carbs would cause her to build alcohol in the blood stream. An expert at Mayo clinic told her that she needed to start eating carbs regardless or she would die.

A balanced diet is what is needed. The nutritionist is the place to start.

My DW saw one during a Diabetes program at the local Hospital

Added: The short swings of blood sugar are not as important as the A1C number. That is the gold standard for insulin intolerance.
