She likes hubby too.

I don't mind doing it, just common courtesy not to ask for stuff a toddler could make when I feel like crap.
That will get him a bowl of crappy cereal every single time. ;)

Lol, Henry was doing that "im going to kick the tires" walk around my feet yesterday, adorable if I didn't know the deal.
Not super worried about the roosting, they know how to get up there iv'e been watching them play on them all day.
Past few nights iv'e been popping open their pen before I close the coop so if they wanted to roost on anything they're free to do it.
Just letting them decide like the rest got to do luckily they have a net over where they're sleeping now so nobody is getting pooped on.:)
Ohhhh so they have places they could roost, but choose not to. I have a huge empty branch and I have one roosting in an unused nesting box & 5 or 6 squeezing onto another roost.. I assume it's b/c they're mostly the big girls, and the ones on the long roost are mean gilrs and don't want anyone else roosting by them.

No.....not right now. I'm gonna take the summer off. DH and I bought a house behind us and I think I'm gonna work on remodeling that to turn it into an airb&b. This is a very touristy town and b&bs do very well around here
What a great idea! We used an airb&b last summer and it was nice, except some of the amenities either didn't work, or didn't exist. Tv didn't work, & there were bad flies b/c they didn't take the trash out to the road & the fly swatter that was in the house was broken and rubberbanded to the stick part. Their "pans" was more like pan and the blender was broken. The ac worked and there were beds so the important parts were there. I'm sure it'll be easier for you being so close and able to keep an eye on things.

Arg! :he

You have a seller like my buyer. He bought a foodie house and tore out all the garden beds, planted grass and watered 24/7. He also didn't like the basement fan vent that self closed, so he removed it. And then wanted to complain about water coming in the house. Plumber tried to explain to him that you can't leave an open 4" hole in the wall and not expect to get water in. Didn't work... Waited sixty days and then just said take me to court.

And karma is a wonderful thing. My trusted Oak, after all his watering fell on the house.
Wow.. some people are really special.

Your oak did not want to live without you. New silly owner gets what he asks for. Our old house had a 30 year-old pink grape fruit tree with the best fruit that I had babied. Buyer cut it down.
Really really special. What a waste.

Everything is terrifying to derps, iv'e got to distract Barb with food before I can scoop her up.
I don't get to snuggle for free.
Now Dick, he's free.:gig
:yuckyuck Not going to say what I was thinking...:duc

Henny, it is odd your neighbor got thunked in the head, my crazy shack man did too.
Crazy shack man pretty much fell on his head though.
Kind of sad, he was at least semi famous and a really good skateboarder.
Now he's in a shack and has major control issues.
This is before the ringing of the bell. :(
Wow, by what you'd said I would have expected him to be much older.. but the knock to the head explains a lot.

Iv'e heard tales of this "help" you speak of i'd assumed it was only myth like the loch ness monster. ;)...Henny, auto correct thinks cock ness monster is a thing. To be fair I did make one and it was terrifying but dang it still remembers.:lau

He needs supervision to be quite honest no clue why that didn't happen.
He's like a record that skips tracks, normal, pervy and violent and it flips like a switch.
There has definitely been some repetitive injury the one clunk didn't do all that.
Throw in the fact he self medicates, it really makes for a volatile situation. :hmm
He probably refused the care & b/c of how he was they didn't push it. You can't force people to get treatment if they don't want it. Reminds me of people who take meds til they feel better, then stop b/c they feel better... which causes a whole cycle that would be avoided by just acknowledging the meds are what make them feel better.

I heard a hubbub and seen a bunch of poults looking through the shade cloth into another coop. ... between the cloth and a nest box. I was thinking of a chipmunk or similar. I found this

  • 10' away is a turkey hen due to hatch on the 13th.... This is what happens when you let them set their own eggs.

I tried giving it to 3 different broody chickens and none would take it. Hopefully it's mom will when others hatch. ... I am afraid to give it to her now because it will go on a walkabout again
It's beautiful! Hopefully you get more soon.

I know, I just got, "Maybe we will get chickens next year, this is looking like a lot of work, I don't want to work everyday." We have been retired that long, LOL!
Wait til one gets sick or hurt.. He'll start talking about getting rid of all of them.

Adorable. She didn't take long to make herself at home.

Hello everyone!

First night in the house went alright except for the fact that I had trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep because I hurt so bad. I was awake from 2am-4am having some contractions but not bad ones. Just annoying. Thing 1 slept in his own room in a twin bed for the first time like a champ! He was over taking the crib. He looks so small in the twin sized bed.

@Texas Kiki
Just wait... in a few years he'll be complaining that a twin is too small and you'll have to buy him something longer. Hope you're feeling better.

Yesterday's adventure. Haven't been there in 10 yrs.

Nice! What brought this adventure on?

Those guys are the ones who say you can't make any money. They have to charge less and less when they get reviews like that. I have told some hosts that they ought to charge more, they (and their place) were so nice. We have probably stayed a over 50 AirBnB's, Some that you couldn't not pay me to go back to!

Hey! I'm really late! I have been putting a drain in a goat udder for the neighbor, vet can't come till thursday and it was about to split.
Really should have been done days ago but he knows zip about goats.
Poor girl, she feels much better now.
Bad thing I couldn't help but think of @Redhead Rae during it all. :D

I had mastitis once, but not that bad. I narrowly avoided antibiotics though.

She needs them, getting that mess to flow out is a big help.
At least fella took her kid out so she didn't have a pusher.
I feel for any girl with that going on...ouch is an under statement. :(
I used the homeopathic remedy Phytolacca 30c when I got mastitis. I had fever, chills and felt like I had the flu. After the first dose, I fell asleep for two hours and woke up with my fever broken. I took it every 3-4 hours for the first few days than once a day for a few weeks. After that, I took the remedy any time I started feeling breastfeeding related pain and never got mastitis again.

I am SOOO glad I insisted on a 50 gallon hot water heater. The way things have been going the last few days, DH and I haven’t been able to get around to showering/bathing until after Thing 1 has been put to bed (usually not asleep) with the 50 gallon hot water heater, DH can take a shower while I put Thing 1 in bed, sing to him and then get my bedtime snack. When DH is done showering I have just enough hot water to fill my garden tub to within an inch of as full as you can get which is more than enough for a good soak.

Honestly I didn't know what was going on, he ran down here hollering about a sick goat. She wasn't standing as much as leaning udder 2x as big as it should be, she kidded last week so she is producing heavy.
She just looked miserable, and he tried milking the poor dear before admitting he had no clue.
She's got 3 teats, it the extra looked like it was bearing the brunt. I'll definitely look for homeopatic help for her thursday is a long time to wait.
