Official Squatch Watchers

I'm going to share some weirdness, i was about to slice a tomato and i noticed it had these little horn things on it i was like whaaat? I cut it open and the horns were little tomato plants trying to bust through. This wasn't an old tomato but it was filled with seedlings all warped and wonky but seedlings. I'm still trying to figure it out, i know that's how you get more tomatoes but I've never seen it happen quite like that.

Maybe it was it's parasitic twin

Well, I got sidetracked from caffeine and bath by the realization that I wanted to put a pot of bones on the stove to simmer overnight. I went digging through the freezer and came up with more bones than I thought I had. I've got a 20qt pot, full of water and bones. I've got another 10qt pot full of chicken stock that we will be adding to the bone broth for flavor. We'll probably put the bones through 3 different simmer cycles with vinegar in the water to get all the good stuff out of the bones and into the broth.

I've noticed that I can't seem to cook my pasture raised birds' bones to mush like I can with a store-bought Cx bird's bones. I used to just feed the bone mush to my chickens and it would be all gone, but if I give my DP bird bones to the chickens I just end up with whole bones thrown all over the paddock, which is a predator draw. Is there any way to process the bones after I'm done with them to make them easier for the chickens to eat? @rjohns39 do you have any ideas?

I think being a proctologist would be more awful!
