I had never seen the bit about the thumbs. That's interesting. I generally stay away from anything with 3 leaves. Poison Ivy loves me.

Being in a desert and up north lol I am not familiar with A LOT of what grows down south.
I would stay clear of pretty much everything :lau.

Yup I would be as skittish as a leghorn. :gig

In case anyone needs a giggle.

Hubs was given a tow behind trailer by his boss.
It was from a police seizure.
Guess what it is full of.......

Tools. :hmm

And the entire floor is covered in 1/2" of marijuana . :hmm:hmm
I think they missed some when they collected evidence.
:lau

Seriously they were collecting the bales so the crumbles didn't matter.
You could have packaged up the pot and sold it. Aren't you in colorado? Or use it to give out as gifts. So many lost opportunities. They probably didn't care about that b/c it'd be under the legal amount if you did sweep it up and keep it. The bales were probably illegal b/c it wasn't from an approved source for the amount.

At least your gnomes are useful, and you could sell them or give them away.....i'm boned on all that.:lau
Just choose a lucky person in your life and start bestowing the gnomes upon them for bday and xmas presents. This works best if it's a smallish child.

I'd also like something I can put a plow on for those occasional snow's and I need to get a spreader for my gator for deicer when we get freezes. No way my truck can make it up the drive with ice.

ETA: The pro's charge me $200 every other week and it takes them about two hours to get it done. But they stop at the swing. I'd like to do the rest down to the road, it's not nearly as steep and about 40' wide by a 1/4 mile long.
Hmmm I'd say use a weed whip, but for that much space it'd be crazy. Probably have to push mow it for now, but only if you have a self propelled mower.

You deserved a lawn mowing and a ton more, baby steps with husbands though. The beeping lol! Not all of them beep, a good chunk of them do though lol. Tucks,Lulu and Rene never beeped but these kids do except the boy he never did :).

Tractor is bigger, with a higher hp engine and is made to take attachments plows, buckets etc.
Mower is just a mower. If you did go just a mower you'd need a floating deck not a fixed deck because you have some hills. :)
I know people who call a lawn mower a lawn tractor. No idea why.. but they very clearly have a regular riding lawn mower.

Ohmygasp! It's so cute. I want to squeeze it.

Talk to me about feeders...

I had a bucket feeder they had to stick their heads in and that cut down on waste but it was hard to clean. And with more birds and birds with crests I’m not thinking that’s the way to go.

I have a hanging feeder (that I don’t hang) with the plastic dividers around the bottom so it’s harder for them to toss feed around. They toss the whole thing around instead. I’m not opposed to hanging it I just hadn’t settled on the coop interior so being about to move it around made it easier.

What do you all use and pro/cons? Where did you get it?

The trailer is a 5x8 ish so it was actually well over legal possession amount here.
Yeah we are in Colorado but seriously there are a lot of regs regarding that stuff.
They had come over the border with it and got busted. So totally illegal in every way.

I use the 30# hanging feeders in my big coop and a 7# hanging feeder in the small coop. Both are metal ones.
The plastic with dividers mine take apart when I hung it. Totally useless. If they aren't tipping it they just take it apart making me search for the hardware.

OH one thing with the 7# feeder......It has clips to hold the crossbars in. Those on one of mine do not stay on. Very frustrating since it makes the feeder tilt and dump feed.

I definitely see Virginia creeper. Hate that weed with a passion.
He is correct it is a long term battle.

My jerk of a neighbor has it along a fence. I find it in my gardens and make sure to dig it out while small.
It can take down a house it is so vigorous in its growth.
Yeah, I am allergic to that too.

I have a lot I made myself. Chewy has a good one for quail or small chickens.

I have one like this.. not sure on the size: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/harris-farms-15-lb-hanging-feeder?cm_vc=-10005

I drilled a hole big enough for a braided rope and used that to secure it. I tie it so I can just untie it if it needs adjusted. The rope that hangs down, I've put a couple pull ties on it to make it a little more sturdy. I can take pics later if that'd help. They don't knock it over, but they do knock feed out, mostly swiping their heads back and forth. Looking for a certain type of feed, I assume. I swear they do it on purpose b/c there's no other reason there's so much feed on the floor. If I'm cleaning I just lift it up and set it on one of the poop boards to get it out of the way.

Wow. You'd think they'd have taken 10 seconds to take a vacuum to it if that's the case. Maybe his boss thought it'd be a nice bonus for him.
