I can relate to that. This is a very low pressure environment though. Post a lot or post a little, all are welcomeThanks folks, that is one big reason I tend not to have friends, because I'm bad at keeping up with people and conversations.

DH and I were at the pet store yesterday to buy mealworms for Tad and a few shrimp to add to the aquarium. There were so many beautiful birds!!! I wanted to adopt one...or all of themWe like chatting and watching what happens here! Maybe an African Grey snuck in . . .View attachment 1874248
Maybe some day.Don't adopt an African Grey unless you are ready for a long term commitment. Dylan, the grey in my avatar, is 25 and could live to 60+. I am at least her 3rd owner.DH and I were at the pet store yesterday to buy mealworms for Tad and a few shrimp to add to the aquarium. There were so many beautiful birds!!! Oh I know. Parrot adoption is a very big commitment in many ways! And it definitely isn’T in the cards for us right now. Even a starter parrot, a cockatiel, lives 20-25 years. That is why I got Dylan, she was older and need a forever home. She could still outlive me! The granddaughter loves her, she is assured a home in our family for her lifetime.Oh I know. Parrot adoption is a very big commitment in many ways!
