Do you use a particular brand of chicken feed? I was using Purina, but after finding bugs twice I switched to Nutrena.

I get my feed a half hour from your place. Hillsboro feed co.

I'm taking a break. I don't know if I'll be back.

It's been great knowing you all, over the past several months. Thank you for all the laughs, the companionship,the recipes, the inappropriateness, the chicken bonding, all of it. Y'all are a great bunch of people.

I'm just dealing with some heavy sh*t right now, and I'm kinda done. I'll get it together eventually--I always do.

Anyway, have a good whatever-it-is-you-celebrate, keep warm, love your chooks, try not to take life too seriously, and just do your life, ya know?

I say Suz is the butt grabber as well. And I'm the one who had her head shaved.... cause I never had done it before.... it was a Bucket List thing. Will NEVAH happen again I can assure you. I know we DO have a member who keeps her hair super short... and I can't remember who that is... :(

Good morning all! We, too, are going to TSC this morning. We also are swinging by Kroger to pick up my grocery order I placed last night. Man I LOVE online shopping SO MUCH! I actually save money that way!!!

Oh sweetie..... :hugs don't leave. Just take a break. I know your job is killing you but we can support you through this. Do what you need to do for YOUR sanity though. :hugs

It's not my preferred feed or blend, but it's a good and complete ration. I use the non-GMO 18% layer and it's $11/50# bag. I don't know if they have a minimum at the mill. Here's their website and their number is:(256) 637-2309. You can likely get your answers talking to the girl in the office, but Roger is my POC. If you try it and like it, you'll want to ask them if you can bring your own container (2-5 gallon buckets should hold 50#) as $2.50 of that $11.00 is for the bag. They may also have distributors, but you'll pay a little more with them.
