Morning Bob- we're headed for our first frosts. Hopefully the grass will decide to take a long nap and not need cutting again.

How??????Nope, just going to nope my head off over 3 of them ugh.
Girl I had sh*t on the ceiling.![]()
I wouldn't be surprised. I checked the camera yesterday for the night before and I'm looking at the pics and seeing nothing, then I leaned back and saw a black object. I ended up being that weird white faced cat, though i didn't get a good enough pic. He came to visit around midnight. I'm thinking it's coming around to look for mice in the corn pile. Then around 530 the trash pandas were visiting. The cage that I *tried* to fix w/ wood didn't work - blocking the lever that triggers the door, so they ate the hotdog and left. So I tried something different. Hopefully it worked this time. My brother said he'd buy a new cage when he gets paid if it doesn't work. I'm just going to keep putting it out until I stop catching them.@apryl29 I think there may be 4 trash pandas in that pic. The one in the middle looks a little awkward to be just 1.
ouch!Good morning! It feels AWESOME out there!
Bob is a very happy boy, he got honey bun but only after Barb and Stacey knocked it out of my hand
Such sweet girls always watching out for my figure lol.
And a moment of silence is in order for Marlene's butt.View attachment 1929840 View attachment 1929841
That poor scared chicken & those poor dumb kids. Everyone knows if you find a chicken on your car you keep it. Never refuse a gift from the gods.
That really sucks. But at least your snow killed them all off! Snow sucks, but at least the stingy/bitey things die.
I'm preparing for our record lows....I set about tarping the hoop run.
No biggie it is nice out at almost 80° right now.
Got the top done, put away the ladder....all is well.
Got the pieces sorted for the North side.
Got the up high attached. Still no issues.
Sat down to attach the bottom......
Put my right hand DIRECTLY on an English paper wasp. It stung me SOLID.
Smashed it to oblivion...never more will it ever move!
Ran inside poured vinegar on my hand, popped 2 benadryl, still freaking on fire!!!!
Propolis to the rescue!!
The thick stuff, within 30 seconds the pain was cut 70%.
Thank you Nunny!!! That stuff is the BOMB!
Hope it moved through quickly. I saw a map yesterday and couldn't believe the temp drop you guys got. Hope your husband & son stay safe on the road.Morning everyone.
Still snowing here. We are around 15° with a light breeze. It looks like it stuck to the roads. It is not a big snow but slick looking out there.
In other news...
That sting has my hand all puffed up today.
I plan to make a few small washable beds or little River today.
Did they close your school? I always take a frozen door as a sign to stay home.Whew, it looks chilly out there! Tried to open the back door to see exactly how cold it was(and whether I should try to get a ride to school from my parents) and I couldn't pry it open! I think it might be frozen shut. Cuddling with my dog on the couch and he keeps barking at suspicious wind blown objects.
Can you rig something for this winter once this snow all melts and it warms up above freezing, or is this your life now until next summer? We always get little bursts of "Ha! Fooled you!" weather with every season change.. today we'll be at least 75 until the sunsets, but tomorrow it's going to rain & be fall.Birds are tended....doors opened into the run.
Bitty's house = happy birds. Their run is tarped. No Derp freak out over the snow.
The big house.
Zero birds are happy to see the white carp.
I swept a path to the covered area.
Zero birds stepping toe one into that cold formerly white path.
Project next year.....covered "porch" for the big house.
Oh wow. Albert is glorious. How did you get his hair so fluffy? I guess it shows how used to humans they are that it just went on it's merry way. Lucky that your birds didn't go after it. Olive chases the bunnies if she sees them lurking around. She has major stranger danger stress. And secondly my day just went to 100% omg no ,in no time at all!
First I stepped on a yellow jacket.
I cussed and went on my merry way........but that was not to be.
My friends meet Albert.
View attachment 1931319 View attachment 1931320 View attachment 1931321Mister Albert caused quite a stir just skunkin around out there.
And yep you're seeing Prince putting himself right in there....he totally could not be.
Nobody got sprayed, but I was close enough to hear Al's skunk talk.
That is way,way,way toooo close!
Skunks just do this hissy little huffing noise it isn't loud at ALL.
How??????

Nothing cuter than pups, except maybe wrinkled pups!Lots of foul language directed at the yellow jacket!!

Holy CARP! That is a skunk?!?
Lol no kidding!! He is kinda cute in a Polish chicken skunk cross sort of way.

Very cool! Here’s the deck! We still need to put covers over the doors, railings, one more set of steps and decking on the handicap ramp.

Today, my dad and FIL put in the steps that go to our parking area between the houses. We are going to mount a slide almost directly across the deck from the stairs.
View attachment 1932119
We had to put a couple inch lift to the deck outside the single wide. We asked them to make the houses level with each other, but it was a little off. The frame to the handicap ramp is off to the right of the landing deck.
