I let them out, nobody was too cranky except Lulu but she's always a bear in the morning even her voice sounds pissy.

Then Derps might be cranky at the delay.

Chilly damp mornings.

There are Soooooo many feathers laying around here I am surprised I am getting ANY eggs.
Crooky is looking pretty rough. I am going to try and give JUST HER some mackerel and boiled eggs today.
I may boil eggs for everyone ...... It is really hard to segregate just her and her her to eat.

They have all been getting a little extra the last couple weeks. Poor molty burbs.

All the birds are out, fed and happy.....well as happy as molting monsters can be.

We will be having hot weather today. Lots of outside things to do if course.

I think today will be a good day for cleaning the coops. I know the birds will be underfoot.

Lol, try not to step on anybody.
It is harder than it sounds im fully aware.

Ok, I snagged two drawers the neighbor was throwing away and made two more nests.
Dooneese still makes that stinkin little ground nest.
I have to crawl under the high side of the coop for that egg.

I have totally stepped (not full weight) on tiny chicken toes. Dang near fell over backward to keep from smashing the toes.



I made an outdoor nest for Crooky while she was doing the run laying. It was hit and miss.
Eventually she started using the normal (preferred) spot.

They are awful at roost time!
They actually used the decent door but only after Prince peed off Lulu and forfeited the right to use the big door.
No idea why the boy finds Lulu sooo sexy, but he sure does.
Lulu finds no one sexy...ever.

I've fallen on Marlene and Hobo, not full force obviously since they're still three dimensional.
Im going to have trouble out of Stacey too because she likes to peck feet.
Dooneese is just nuts.
Iv'e crawled under got her off the little butt divot she makes and put her on a proper nest.....she goes right back.
She's stubborn like Ethel.
The best I can hope is when the ground gets cold ground nests wont be so neat.

We are 7 days from bringing River home.
Jack goes on for his rabies shot Tuesday. Poor old guy. Just keeping him current so he can stay tagged.

My parents old dog couldn’t have shots. Any. Something in them made her swell up like a parade float.
The vet used to tell them if anyone had a problem with her not getting the shots call him.
Your dogs don’t run free. See if the vet will forfeit it.

My Shepherd swelled all up last time I gave her a 7 in 1 vaccine. Benadryl to the rescue! No more regular shots for her. Rabies shot doesn't bother her.

When I read all this stuff, I am glad I don't have any more dogs. I would have worried myself into a coma.
