We're at 36 right now, but it's really windy. Trick or treat was terrible, but my kids are old enough that we didn't go out. 1 was supposed to go w/ a friend, but got stood up so we went to get Taco Bell instead. The other went w/ her friend. On the way to drop her off a road was flooded a little, but I went over it anyway. It didn't seem like much so I drove back the same way (plus I had no idea where I was), the water mixed w/ the oil spray I got last week and the serpentine belt slipped off. Then b/c that also powers the water pump my car over heated. My brother came out and helped me get it back on. So that was fun. I used my gps and went a different way to pick her up. It's only about 10-15 min away, but it's out in the country, lots of leaf covered hilly roads, in the dark where I've never driven before. So that was fun.
My youngest was outside this am at band practice and said it was snowing. We have a football game tonight, presumably the last one, unless they win and make playoffs. Not looking forward to freezing my butt off.
Last night when I checked the birds I saw that Damon and the white egger have finally popped their pin feathers so hopefully it'll help them stay warm. I still need to put the tarp up on the front of the run. I didn't expect winter to be here today.

I'm going to say it.. That's too many dogs. I hope they find homes for them all. What's wrong w/ the 2 they can't sell? Or is it the 2 that lost weight that they can't sell right now?


I'm going to throw out my conspiracy theory that the lack of rain in CA is b/c they keep pumping the water for the Nestle water bottling and that's created a lack of water to be evaporated & generate rain. No water on the ground = no water in the air.

I saw there's a new fire that started north of LA. I hope you all stay safe out there.

I saw the tornado warnings for the east coast. That's terrifying.
It's been raining a bunch here too and the weather guy keeps saying we're still at drought levels. I disagree.


I can't tell if that's calming or if it bothers me. It's def a great find though.


You're not alone! I did this when I was off work last month.. I kept stuff b/c if I got rid of it all I'd be naked & my work frowns upon that. I need to get off my butt and stop eating constantly when I'm home.

Wow. I'm still holding out for most of the place, but the kids have heat on. Did you ever get your piggies taken care of?

yep, that's what snow looks like- I was afraid I had forgotten- then we got snow the last two days.

She's just like a human baby. How is she adjusting to being the only pup?

Yes definitely to many puppies and they have 5 grown dogs along with a red bloodhound they recently bought (12 weeks old now).


One pup had the broken leg and is no longer "sound" in that leg. It looks like lifelong potential mobility issues for him.
The second pup had dropped weight and they have to do more testing as it is a possible liver shunt......$5000+ surgery if that is the cause.


River is doing ok as an only pup...if only these grown girls here would let her sleep.

Good evening folks, im having to stand.out in the cold because the police are chasing two idiots that ran from a traffic stop.
I normally stay in as long as possible but people are dumb and derps are derps.

Searched for chicken Christmas on the site iv'e pledged my love for just out of curiosity.
So many tacky shirts! A literal goldmine! And they have these! Now im guessing they're for your rooster, but you could hang them for people too lol!
