Niiiice work!
I say you get the cost difference plus labor......possibly overtime too you were looking into it on a weekend and those are expensive! 😂
The dryer is reassembled and on its third load drying. So far no random shutting off.
The new parts are coming from 3 sources. All the parts have shipped already!

I kinda think the motor itself is actually ok and the roller is the main issue. I will see if I can get more failures over the next week waiting for parts to arrive.
Theory.....heavy loads of jeans or big loads of towels added to sticky roller push it over the edge.

Sooooooo......if I fix the dryer....That others said replace......do I get to keep the cost difference????
:gig

Good morning, im still calling it morning im on my first coffee lol!
Actual morning was spent getting cozy with the drainage ditches, really more fun than I should be allowed that early.
Apparently they aren't sufficient for monsoon season so when it dries up a bit they'll get dug out even more.
Water was nearly at the coop door on the walk in side.
And it is still freaking raining.:tongue

Still in awe, large appliances and their innards are beyond my grasp.
I can do little twinky stuff electronics, control boards, im even decent at engine mechanics washers/dryers/water heaters/ fridges are total kryptonite to me though.

Soooo, Chooky, Chooks what are you up to this weekend????😂
Sorry, I just could NOT resist!

@apryl29 There was a photo, but it is a catfishing photo for chirping chicks.
I am visually challenged, but not this bad. ;)

Yikes! That is some serious rain! Stay safe! Although....does anyone else remember the animated movie rock-a-doodle? Just had a weird flashback imagining derps in yellow slickers. I am seriously starting to think my brain is broken 🥴

Speaking of the weekend... :lau I actually have a trip planned. For dissertation research. The whole thing is kind of last minute and all the stuff I had to do to get ready is probably what scrambled my brain.

Oh! I had a chick like that, as a kid! The cute one in the picture, not the mad pooper. It was very cute and peeped when you cupped it in your hand. Sorry you got the bait and switch!

Anyone else see the show "Homestead Rescue" and yell at all he TV when they use chicken wire.....in places the owners have ALREADY LOST BIRDS TO PREDS?

🙄 Sheesh.....I hope it's not just me....
I seen this old House did that too.... now I wonder about everything they do

Just checked the dryer. It is 30 minutes into a heavy load of 4 pairs of jeans, 6 t-shirts, 2 big heavy towels, and assorted dark socks. Still running.

Next test will be twin size denim blanket and as many throw blankets as will fit in the washer. First thing in the morning so everything is cold.

Sometimes when I take things apart and put back together...it seems like it fixed it... I think connections get corroded and pulling it apart is a miracle worker

Very well could be that fixed it. Isolating circuits to test did mean pulling connections apart.
There was surprisingly little dust inside and he cabinet so I don't think it was overheating from dust build up.

I think I will keep running it how it is and hang onto my parts. If it acts up again then I will fix it.

In the mean time imma buy something shiny with all that saved $. :lau

The key with a less than predator proof fence, is that you shut them into a predator proof coop at night.

I find it easier to predator proof a coop than to predator proof a run.
