Official Squatch Watchers

Great to hear from you! I understand about the blurring. I missed a regularly scheduled meeting with my advisor last month after loosing track of the days of the week. Hope you and your younguns are doing well!
My director decided to have weekly conference calls with all the managers on Thursdays. I had to set an alarm in my phone to remind me because I started having problems remembering what day it is. We missed Masked singer the second week after quarantine started because I forgot it was Wednesday even though for the two days prior to that I kept saying it's almost Wednesday. So I had to set an alarm for that too. Not knowing what day it is is great if you don't have to do stuff on certain days. I've never been off wet work wo some kind of obligation before.

Yeah, I definitely learned my lesson and have started doing phone alarms too. I think DH has just totally given up on keeping track of time though lol. He is furloughed from work, can't go to church, and his college class has wrapped for the semester. 🤷‍♀️ He is getting a ton of stuff done around the house and yard though. AND he learned how to make brownies from a mix, without help. I may never want him to go back to work again! :gig (Kidding of course. Although the brownies were truly scrumptious).

Yep, you've been having fun.
Totally right about Carole, she killed him.
I remember being at the stage your youngest is, how my mom didn't run away is beyond me.
Same. My parents would have been fully justified if they just abandoned me in the woods, Hansel and Gretel style. Hang in there Apryl!!!

They're so little! Lulu's feet are the size of them lol!
Too cute Chooky.:)

Thanks! Soooooo tiny, right? I can't get over it. They are so fun. This picture is from a week or two ago, but it shows the sized difference between the banties and the ameraucanas.

Looking for opinions....
my incubator arrived and it doesn’t have humidity readings. I missed it in the listing.

Part of me is thinking...no big deal I always incubated with secondary thermometer-hygrometer. There isn’t a whole lot of room in there but a hygrometer with a probe is about $15.

The other part is thinking...WTF!?! For the caliber of incubator why do they even make an incubator w/o humidity reader.

So my options are return this one and for close to the same price get the smaller 28 egg incubator with integrated hygrometer.
Or keep this one and get a hygrometer. It’s about $200 more to get the 56 egg with hygrometer.

online reviews are mixed... they love the incubator but wish they had gone bigger or wish they had sprung for the integrated humidity readings.

What do I do!?!?!
I just got the same one. Im going to dry hatch and do lock down in my frankenbators. I really didn’t want to spend an extra $100 for the integrated humidity controls. My smaller EX incubator (auto humidity control) rarely uses any water this time of year and hovers around 35-45%. Earlier in the year it was a problem because my house was dryer when we were heating it.

The sole photo I was able to get from today’s distribution of bribes. I learned that the chicks will tolerate my presence if I sit on the ground, quietly and without movement. Picking up my phone though makes them bolt 9 times out of 10.

Awwww!! I lurves the banty babies! They are looking good. 🙂
I understand the running away thing.
My ducklings are still 100% certain I am Godzilla. 😳

Hi everyone! Hope you're doing well. Yay for the new babies & sorry for the losses.
I've been trying to convince myself to get stuff done. We lost Nibbler a few weeks ago. She couldn't see to eat & when I held out food for her she completely missed my hand. The vet said she probably had internal laying. I'm down to 9. I got some scrapbooking done, though not as much as I'd like. Space is limited & I had to put it away when the kids had dance. Somehow I lost some school photos, looked everywhere & can't find them. Watched masked singer & tiger king. Carole totally killed her husband. Bought Kyra's prom dress. They rescheduled prom for mid June.. we'll see if it happens. Took her driving too. Younger one is a jerk. I know why some animals eat their young. Constant fight over homework & refuses to do it until last minute, then complains. But I can't ask about it at all bc she gets made at me, like I caused this. But it's totally not that she lies in bed 24 hours a day then says she can't sleep, but she also refuses to get up or go outside. Kids are fun! I bought a sewing machine and started making masks. Gave one to my daughter's friend bc she's allergic to staying home. Did she wear it out today? Nope. Smh. Went back to work today for the first time. Managers are half time til the 18th when staff return at half time. Still have 2 offices to clean, but made progress today. We're expecting 40% loss of income so I lost most of the budget I was given before this. I also lost my full time employee until at least the end of the year which is fine bc no computers means I don't need another person. We will have a levy on the ballot in November and if it fails we may have to close a branch. Dance comps were rescheduled for August. Who knows if we'll still have recital in June. Ohio is trying to do a slow reopen but ppl are being stupid. We'll see what happens in 2 weeks. It's winter again so hopefully people will stay home.

Very good to hear from you!
Hoping that prom gets to happen.
Sorry about nibbler.
Yup....critters eating their young....teenagers make us understand it.
Crossing my fingers for a good upcoming budget for your job. Closing any branch would be sad.

Oh and we had our first destruction incident from a dog in a very loooong time.
River the horsie shredded a sofa cushion. Not to happy about that.

Our lives haven’t changed much except for church. I really miss my church family. We also haven’t really been able to participate in the online services because our internet is so slow. We started calling our pastor “Pastor Skippy” because we have to keep pausing when we want to watch one of the sermons. We are going to start holding in person services this Sunday! When it isn’t raining, they will be doing outdoor services with craft areas for the kids. It’s going to be a pain because I know Thing 1 will want to hug EVERYONE at least 5 times but we are still doing social distancing. Our church is small enough that we can set up the sanctuary for family group seating when it is raining.

Good morning folks :frow

Rae, he's a gorgeous boy, CSA the babies are adorable, Apryl, good to see you, hope Prom really happens, Henny, sorry about the sofa.

Electricity is a really nice thing... Spent 5 hours without it yesterday, but battery backups worked and I was still able to work. I fell way behind on BYC though. My home computer doesn't have a battery backup.
