Official Squatch Watchers

:frow Good morning Henny, have a great and extra special day!

Will do Bob. We are going to try and finish that run roof today so outside and working hard. It is what I have been wanting for years so I am good with spending the day that way.

I hope you and Mrs. Bob get to have a really great day too.

We're going to make it a lazy day. I generally take her out for dinner, but that's not doable today... So I'll probably make a batch of Cinnamon rolls to start off the day. :D

We are staying home too. Ham, eggs and toast for breakfast here. Maybe bbq on the grill for dinner......we hadn't decided yet. I think it will depend on how tuckered we all are.
Tomorrow will be raining here so maybe I can go buy a few flowers for the porch pots. No way will I go today.....to crowded on Mothers day for sure.

Good morning! Happy Mother’s Day all around!

I got canned cinnamon rolls yesterday with the plan to make them for dinner last night. My MIL saw them and said “Oh good, we can have them and bacon for breakfast.” She put out when I flatly informed her that I was not cooking on Mother’s Day morning. She then asked my husband how hard was it for him to cook bacon. He can’t. I ended up making it for dinner, like I planned.
:barnie

Third chick died, no eggs have hatched. Haven’t checked on my outdoor brooder yet.

A little old fashioned giggle for today.....

Happy Mother's day Rae. I am sorry for the chick losses. :hugs
Haha. “I hope a butterfly flies up your nose and you choke on it. And then I hope the butterfly escapes.”

Thanks. I’ve resigned myself to it at this point. Hopefully everything straightened out from here. I would be worried about genetics, but I’m having issues with keets too.

Because it is a beautiful sunny and warm day, I just moved 5 chicks out to my phase 2 brooder. I took a count and with all the deaths, I should have had 20 chicks. I only have 19. I found the missing one in the shavings. It’s depressing how they can just disappear into the bedding like that.

No signs of hatching and something is smelly in the incubator. I think I’m going to give this batch of eggs up as a bad job and wait until next week.
