As much as it seems nasty.....especially on a Sunday.....and Mother's day to boot....

I kinda get it that the government needs people back to work....and paying taxes instead of staying home collecting.

In other news.....the roof on the chicken yard is DONE!
 
I get that too, but i'd wager most of us knew we would be expected to return once things settled.
Things really haven't though, they are pushing it putting more value on the monetary rather than the mortal.
And as much money as our government pretty much wipes their butts with on a state and federal level paired with the timing of the email "didn't even notice that, thanks Henny!"
I just find it really, really, really tacky.
And WOOT for a new roof! :)

Yes their timing was TACKY at best.
I think the reality that things are unlikely to settle for many months/years is setting in for them. The fact that many small businesses....who interestingly employ a HUGE number of people are going under never to return. The ones that do survive won't be thriving for several years and in those years more will close.

It is a hot mess.

My chickens are unlikely to be my friends for quite some time. The run split is going to take away their spring sunshine.........unless I can work out a new plan. :hmm
 
Hot mess, that describes the whole situation perfectly.
Nunny, you should have had your pay rate raised no question and personally I think the utility help should be available to anyone who needs it no matter their employment status.
I know people who aren't getting jack poop not even that stimulus check and never will it just blows my mind.
I just have a real sense of impending doom, maybe im being a derp though totally possible.:)

I think a lot of people see the impending doom coming. There is no way to dodge it or duck low enough not to be affected.
I am sure there will be different degrees of impact.

Well the stock market screwed us for sure. Idk how long it will take to recover from that.

Good morning everyone just waking up. :frow

The roof is a HUGE change to the chicken run. We used 30 2x4's in the framing of it. I really hope my hens don't hate me for taking away so much sunshine.

I am going to remove an 8' tall lilac to let a bit more sun in. It will also open up my view of the birds so that will be nice.

We are forecast for rain today so we will see how that goes.
