Official Squatch Watchers

Wimp.... :oops::hugs Just kidding!

In the summer of 2000, my family was at the grand canyon for 8-9 days. It was over 90 ever day but the humidity was below 10-15%. I LOVED it. I totally understand the "But it is a dry heat" statement. It rarely gets below 60% here in the summer, even during a drought.
I remember my days in Saudi... 140* 5% humidity. It wasn't so bad and I had a still. :D

I know right? Rooster bathing is hard and thankless work, they're pretty ungrateful if you ask me.
I had to bathe him. I hold him all the time (he likes that) Although he stank pretty bad, but not anymore! :D

My older guy Negan likes it he goes to sleep in the tub, his son Prince does not appreciate the value of a good soak yet.
They both go straight to dustbathing as soon as im done though, brats.

Can not say I have ever had a rooster I could hold, but my daughter had a pet Sultan rooster. He was the "free" chick from Murray McMurray. Most expensive bird I ever had!

If I had a still, I would not care about the heat, either! We think it is pretty hot in Prescott if it is over a 100. Right now it is 80 in the kitchen, time to turn on the swamp cooler. A benefit of the low humidity is cheap cooling.

I have three very tame roosters. I'm so blessed having them, I could cry with happiness. I'm not even counting my lap chickens. My Barred Rock "Rocks-Anne" is right here with me watching me type this. And she's beautiful too! An egg each day from this girl.
