Official Squatch Watchers

My chicks do it till they go out into the big flock. Then they group by age.
Poof Poof likes the Swedish Flower Hens. I don't know if its the pattern of them or their size. He goes for the darker overall colors too.
The other boy don't really care what she looks like. LOL

Woot! Im out of solo chick territory finally!
And it looks like I got my Hobo girl!
Buhht I also got a Hobo boy to match, sooo I got a set of derpy devil birds. :gig
Hobo girl, Hobo boy, and fully fluffed Tuck's car alarm child.
50% so far, one egg quit, one had a squishy kid that hadn't even started to suck the yolk in no idea what happened there.
We have one iffy egg left.
Not complaining but that is a pretty crappy hatch compared to the norm.
Got two kids I wanted and a Christmas rooster for someone who dosent know they even need one yet, im happy.:)7

We got about 4 in of rain in an hour and the flood tried to take away most of my birds. I’ve only seen two of our five guineas since the flooding, but the water is still over the culvert in the road, so they could be on my parent side. The carport pen has most of my oldest Cornish grow outs in it. It looks like most survived but we’ll see. We had to use the lawnmower to jerk the pen out of the water 6 inches at a time. For now all the birds are, relatively speaking, high and dry.

Oh, and I have a chick I need to cull. It hatched with an umbilical abscess larger than a marble.

Sorry Rae, sounds like a crummy day. I just came in from outside and I am so hot I don't want supper. Maybe later.

Maybe you’ll get some rain later. I’m still kinda damp from helping move stuff around.

It was raining so hard here that I had hardly any internet for 3.5 hours. And I had work to do. Fortunately a coworker got things moving so I didn’t have to stay up until crazy late tonight.

That sucks... I have a lot of flood plain too. A couple acres I can't use... it used to flood randomly every few years. The last 3 years it's flooded all spring. Washed out the culvert so I can't get to the other side.

I have a chick I probably will cull too. Went out and heard it. It was on the wrong side of the 2x4 field fence, just sitting there crying. I wondered why he didn't come when mom called or Why he didn't run when I came through the poison ivy and brambles to get him. I set him by mom and I think a leg is dislocated at the foot. :hit I'll see how he's doing later. One that would have made a good meal or backup breeder... Nice big white of my breeding. They tend to have leg problems like the CX. Only had 4 of those, most are smaller black ones.

It rained here...for MAYBE 5 minutes.
Please send unwanted/extra rain this way.

This week the tummy gods have targeted the dogs here and not in a good way. 🤢
Super runny poo for all. The fecal float only showed bacterial infection.
Nope they have not gotten into anything. The most we can figure is a sick critter must have gone through the kennel and they got it from there.

soooooo much diarrhea 🤮💩🤮

Ok I went to get meds for Tilly and the puppy (Aluah) both just got hit with it in the last 24 hours.
The vet said they have had an extraordinary number of calls about dogs with diarrhea this year. Must be something going around.....even though my dogs haven't been anywhere.
