Official Squatch Watchers

O.m.g.....lady down the road just took my precious little bundle of sleep deprivation to put with her day old barred rock kids.
She ordered a male but he didn't make the trip.
She asked if I had any very, very, very young 100% certain boys i'd part with lol!
BAM! :lau
Lucky duck!

I bought some pellet feed for my quail thinking it was crumbles. Any idea on how to break it down without hours and hours of grinding or pounding it? I only have a regular 4” kitchen mortar and pestle. I tried looking up how to make my own from a log, but can’t really find anything useful. I was thinking of drilling a bunch of holes into my log and trying to break out the sections and smoothing it somehow, but I smell the scent of emergency room in the air.

Put it between two sheets of waxed paper and run a rolling pin over it.

Do you have a good chopper? I used that to break mine down more for when the quail first hatched.

Put it in a bag and beat it with a hammer.:)
