Well you make small batches.
There is a lot of info on BYC about that.
I’ve read into it but like DanielE says, I’d be afraid I’d botch it somehow. I recently tried sprouting seeds for feed, like rye, and it just didn’t turn out. I didn’t even feed it to anyone, not even the chickens.

I have a cross beaked hen several years old. I make wet feed each morning to give to the flock. I don't ferment it I just wet it. All the hens act like it is the best treat ever.

Iv'e been extra sad and hubs is on a egg eating kick.
