Good morning Henny :frow Have a great day.

I love watching them as well, but the are so hard to get on video. It's not the greatest, but with them moving so fast and me being wobbly still 🤷

I'm so happy you like it 😊

They do move fast so getting any video of them is a definite challenge. I thought you did pretty good there considering they flit about so fast. :)

Good morning! It is already looking gloomy and damp out there.
I just finished ordering my chicken feed for the month, im trying to stock up a little since things are still fairly nuts in the world.
I got two 50lb bags for the bigs and a 25lb bag for the littles.
I figure if I can at least keep a bag or two ahead im doing good.
Im still going through a 50lb bag of chick starter, the littles don't like but the bigs do so iv'e been mixing it and just feeding it straight to the roosters.
Everybody is molting so extra protein is good anyway.
The littles are spoiled to healthy harvest, it is all Chewy had in stock when I got them and I can only get that in 25lb bags.
I hate I can't buy Brown's encore like iv'e done for years, but it is 12 dollars for 7 lbs now.
I get 25lbs for 13 dollars with the healthy harvest and it is higher protein.:)

I think I counted a dozen out there this morning. One girl is hogging the feeder.

:frow Good morning Chicky, hav a great day

As far as feed goes I’ve been buying three 40 lb bags about every two weeks. Thats for the big birds. I get two bags of chick feed too. Now I’m almost out of chicks so I’ll probably be buying five bags of the same food at time. I like to be a bag ahead just in case. I store it in the bag in a metal trash can in the coop for feeding. And just in the garage till it’s time to go out to the coop unopened. Luckily the feed store is 15 min from my house so I usually stop when I’m doing my own grocery shopping.
I also like a metal garbage can. I keep it on the porch of the "She Shed/brooder shed" bolted one handle to the wall because the javalina pushed it over right away, and got 1/2 of the first bag of chick food, I had figured it was too heavy, and that I would secure it "later"! Those wild pigs are smart. They probably tested that new garbage can every night until it was light enough to tip! I really like the way the electric fence keeps them out! Best stuff ever, I am getting more as soon as it is back in stock.

Thank you Sue!!!!! I love those tiny little rockets zipping about. šŸ¤—
I could waste a lot of days just watching them.

I lost about 20 minutes yesterday watching a big fat bumble bee.
Good morning! Time spent watching cute hummers, bees and chicks is not lost! It is the best therapy, time watching TV is lost.:caf

So very true!
To be fair that big fat bumble was hilarious trying to stuff himself in a big squash blossom. I love watching them with pea blooms too. They have to pry those open.

Good Morning 'watchers! Thanks for they rain, we got rain yesterday, and more this morning! After it was over, the chicks were rolling in the wet grass, and taking baths LOL. It was only 85 and they were celebrating! I wish I was patient enough to take good video of chicks & hummers. It takes a lot of waiting to get good shots!

Same with time here, not lost or wasted, therapy! And I get great ideas, too. Like the hoop maker. I saw someone on here has a handle of chookwagon! Even better than a chick-wagon, except most people in AZ don't call them Chooks.

Today I have big plans.
I need to fill in dog dug tiger traps so a trip to get dirt is in order. What they have done with the dirt they removed I cannot say.
I have power to the duck house so need to get the water set up sorted for winter. It must stay close enough to have a heater for the water dish reach.
Then there are my 3 low/empty garden boxes I want to fill up. All that good organic stuff has decomposed and chickens have dug soooooo much dirt out it is amazing.

Oh and then there is squirrel proofing needed on the strawberry bed. I saw that little thief munching away on a big red berry yesterday. Of course so did Rita. She gave chase but he kept the prize.
