Picked beans....about 2#, tomatoes....about 10#, bell peppers....about 15 and still working through processing all those onions. Looks like more corn needs picked too.

Overall a good garden this year. It is getting hot out but I still plan to try and get more done outside.
I thought you live in the middle of town? Just exactly what size garden do you have?! I want to live in the middle of your town!

For real it ain't much. My entire lot is just 1/4 acre.
Forgive the mess....I have been clearing the greenhouse, shed, storage area and pulling up spent plants. I literally just took these pics.
Forgive too that I only seem to get blurry pics.

My tiny greenhouse. The arch has pole beans. The bed to the right of the greenhouse door has bell peppers. I already took out the cucumbers from that arch side.

This bed with hoops was onions this year. It still has a salvia and a couple strawberries on this end. The tall painted cages are for tomatoes. I pulled out all but 3 plants already.

Strawberries, Rudy , red onions, beans and corn on this (south side) of the greenhouse.

Barrels of jalapenos. The empty one was zucchini.

A really bad shot of my dog kennel.

The entry to the kennels and of course the malamutes.
This kennel runs along my covered patio turned shop....16' I think. I know the total is 25'x12'.

Not much grass.....but then I don't like to mow anyway.

Not a great shot but to the left is my old chicken run. It has been expanded toward the privacy fence, roofed and now is split for ducks and chickens.

It is all a hot mess today with all the winter prep started as well as shed cleaning.

Wow! That’s actually the same size as my lot, but yours is much better. I really like how you’re maximizing your space. That’s something I have trouble with. With your permission I may copy some of these things. We’re definitely going raised bed, I’ve been buying the materials here and there. I got 5 tomatoes, same with peppers, 2 eggplants and maybe a meal’s worth of potatoes. Sad, sad garden! I haven’t gotten any of the peaches for three years in a row. The deer keep getting them.

Thanks! It isn't as efficient as it could/should be but is ok.
I have wasted space between the hoop run and dog kennel, behind the chicken run, around the rose bush and along the back of the house. It is a constantly changing/evolving thing back there.
OH!!! I did carrots in pots again this year. I start them in the greenhouse in 10" deep by as big around as I can easily move pots. I did 6 pots this year and filled 3-4 one gallon zip bags. For carrots that is the only way I can grow them. We have clay it is way to hard for root veggies. I run the carrot soil through a 1/4" grid sifter to get sticks and rocks out. Each spring I dump all that soil in my wheelbarrow and add composted steer manure then sift it again. It works well.
Just water EVERY day.

I had 24 tomatoes plants.... Chipmunks and squirrels got a bite out of most of them. Poultry get those, I get maybe 3 ripe ones a day for me. Not enough to can that's for sure. I did plant extras but this is crazy.

That would peeve me off. We don't have chipmunks here but I do plant sunflowers for the bees and ultimately the squirrels (wether I want them to have them or not). So far the wild things leave my veggies alone.

I have not been able to be online here very much, AirBnB was a little problem this weekend. Who would think that they could get away with having this dog and us not noticing? These people completely ignored us when we asked them if they were bringing a dog. So, we thought that they did not have a dog. Or sometimes messages do not go through. On Saturday about dinner time, we are sitting on the back patio/carport and we notice them taking a dog into the living room door! They had to have seen us sitting there and realized that they were busted. So in a few minutes, the guy goes out for a walk with the dog, first time ever. When he came back my husband went out and had a nice friendly chat.

All this to avoid the $25.00 extra cleaning fee for a dog. I would have just sent the fee, and not said a word to them. My husband is too nice, now I have to decide what kind of review to leave about these scammers.:barnie
