Lol! You met another crazy lady!
Im a tad envious, i'd love to meet another derp rancher just to see if im really that nuts. :D

@Chickassan I had a good laugh when I met a new chicken friend and she said she had favorella eggs in the incubator. I immediately squealed "YEEEEEH DERPS" and she burst out laughing. She had the biggest smile on her face and said "they are derps alright"

And my weird, dog controlled life gets weirder.
River has been whining a lot more than normal for her. Anyone familiar with saggy baggy dogs knows when they sit the belly sag still forms 2 saggy sides. This morning Rivers looks like she swallowed a tennis ball right at the freaking incision. I fear she has herniated. She is fidgiting, cannot settle and has tail tucked.
We go in at 11:45 for her to get checked.
Until then....I stare at the dog and worry.

Good morning everyone.

Thing 2 was really needy last night so DH and I are both really short on sleep. He usually likes sleeping in his crib over staying in bed with us, but he didn't want me to put him back down in his bed after he woke up at 2:45.
:frow Good morning Rae, try to have a great day

Homer from yesterday, she's still very much a demander of attention.
Her beak isn't any better or worse, I watched her she has learned to use the sides for things she can't get with the tip.
Her sight seems to be much improved, she can definitely pick up on movements way better than she was.
It is still pretty obvious she is a little special perfectly fine though she fits right in.:)
And excuse the fuzz balls holding hands im trying to pass off as an outfit, they are designated chick clothes.
Did not get pooped on a single time, figures right? :)

Back from the vet. Looks like she is reacting in a negative manner to the suture material. She is swollen in the area surrounding the incision (making it look herniated). The vet took the one suture out that looked to be the cause and prescribed a week of antibiotics. Since River is the opposite of small the suture material used is big too.

FINALLY she is able to lay down and maybe settle for a bit. :th

@FlyingNunFarm you DID warn me about that suture material.

Hopefully it was a jinx. Glad they don't need to open her up again.

She is still a bit fidgety but not as bad. After having that one removed she is bleeding a bit there now. I did call the vet about the bleeding. I am glad they did not have to go back in too.
One more dog to get spayed but that is several months from now.

I am still pulling together clothes to donate and doing quiet stuff inside today. It will be nice to have the clutter gone. So far there are over 20 long sleeve shirts, 10 pairs of pants and a stack of t-shirts. The linen closet will wait til tomorrow.
