They do surgery, then turf you out without pain pills these days.

It is a surreal day here.

Long story super short....
Hubs boss's 50(ish) year old son passed away last night. He had emergency open heart surgery about a week and a half ago. Enlarged/balloned aorta I think. They gave him a 20% chance of making it out of surgery. He collapsed at home yesterday.
My heart breaks for his kids.

Hug those who are dear and forgive those who are cross.

Hubs boss's 50(ish) year old son passed away last night. He had emergency open heart surgery about a week and a half ago. Enlarged/balloned aorta I think. They gave him a 20% chance of making it out of surgery. He collapsed at home yesterday.
My heart breaks for his kids.

Henny, that is so sad and what you said so very true. His family and yours are in our thoughts and prayers. I know first hand how quickly things can go sideways.

Sorry to hear this. My Dad had triple bypass surgery, aortic repair and valve replacement. He lived for a week after that.

Thank you everyone.
While I did not know him well this certainly is a lesson to take to heart and treasure those close to us a bit more, hug them a bit harder and forgive them any cross words.

I am staying busy outside today. I am making progress on Bitty's house and have the chicks in an outdoor pen to get some ground time.

With the California Whites now being 3 weeks old it looks like I got all girls. The other 2 breeds are sex links so I am confident there.
