Did you all get fresh wood chips?
There's a thread where the vet said that's what it was and they figured out it was the fresh chips.
It's a mold that's normally everywhere in small quantities

No new chips. I have noticed that some weird mushrooms have sprouted in the path of wood chips that the chickens don't have access to. But they keep the chips in their area well turned. This is the first bird I opened up and found it to have whatever that is. Others I found nothing that gave me a clue as to what happened. Why I didn't bother opening every bird. I found it odd that 2 birds 30 miles apart would die of the same thing. But I will definitely be reading up on aspirgillous.

I use that shaved wood bedding. Could that also carry it? I thought I was fairly safe with mine not traveling to anyone else who has fowl and keeping them clean, etc. But now, white clover and mystery spots :oops:

Do the weird shrooms look kinda like birds nests? Those are pretty nasty from my understanding. They creep me out!

It had to drop down. I couldn't get my driver in to run screws upward.

Still need to skirt the very back, paint inside and build a clean out door.

Good morning,

Up early to start working. Need to get some stuff out soon. Wish I could have slept more though. I didn't get to sleep until almost midnight, was awake from 2-3:20 or so. Not Thing 2's fault just couldn't get back to sleep. And then he woke at 6:20 and I got up after nursing him.

No. But I will be looking up bird nest mushrooms. 😂 Standard mushroom look just ones I'd never seen in the yard before. But....2020....soooo
