Hey ya'll!
Omg,im about two steps away from running away.
My poor little delicate sensibilities are really taking a pounding.
Im sure im mentally scarred.
Firstly im still kinda sick, crap just loves me.
My mind, ears, eyes are are basically joke versions now lol!
Perfect time for a Jerry and Homer to "get down" in front of old mom.
The noise can't be described,
Grabbed her instinctualy, was going to run with her.
Murder noises, she gets down making murder noises.
Also she flattens out like a pressed bird, wont tun her head ends up looking like a dirty lawn dart.:th

Good morning Chicky :frow have a wonderful Monday!!

Nope no dying from reading it.

They are actually very nummy.

1 Cup butter softened
2&1/4 Cups all purpose flour
1/3 Cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon water
1 Cup chopped finely pecans (I am cheap. I use walnuts)
1 Cup powdered sugar

Heat oven to 325°F. Makes aprox 36.
In large mixing bowl beat sugar 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar, vanilla and water beat a few seconds. Add 1/2 the flour beat til thoroughly combined. Add remaining flour and mix well. Stir in nuts.
Form into 1" balls and bake for 20 minutes. Cool on wire rack then gently shake cookies in a bag with powdered sugar.

Wanna know why we call them death cookies?
I want to know why you beat the sugar by itself?

I want to know why you beat the sugar by itself?

It isn't. It is incorporated in with the vanilla, water and butter. The short mixing into the butter just ensures even distribution.

Lol! I just reread my recipe. :thIt should say to beat the butter for 30 seconds.

I went back and fixed it.

Happy Monday Everyone,

I have today and tomorrow off. I have some floating holidays I need to use before the end of the year. Today, living in the middle of nowhere really bit me in the butt. I left the boys with my mom and drove 40 min away to get bloodwork. After I got the bloodwork, I went to the Kroger across the street from the lab to get groceries. I figured I didn't need to stop at Walmart because I had gotten everything I needed. Well, I get 3/4ths of the way home and I remember I only have one diaper for Thing 2. THAT is why I needed to go to Walmart. So I turn around and drive 20 min from my turn around point and get diapers and come back home. No sooner do I get back home then do I get a call from the lab saying they got ahold of my midwife and the test they thought was a duplicate, wasn't. So I need to come back and get stuck yet again. Fortunately my mom still had the boys and I only extended their time at her house by a half hour, but it was really annoying to have to go back out to get stuck yet again.

Oh, and I'm having to do all this running around in my parents' car because DH got a flat on Friday and we are waiting for the new tires to come in. We've already put 100+ miles on the donut tire and it is a rainy, yucky mess today. Get this, we replaced those tires last year and the guy who sold them to us recommended them saying they were good tires. I asked the guy this time and he said they were the wrong tires for us. They may fit the minivan, but they work best on subcompact cars that are only drivng city roads, not heavier vehicles (AKA, the minivan) that is doing a good bit of driving on gravel. Great.... wish we knew this last year.
