Official Squatch Watchers

Whereas it's not great that he's not getting hours, I totally understand the 3rd shift stuff. It's very stressful.
Did you get that dentist appt for Thing 1? It looks like the whole tooth could be there, but it's just so tiny it's hard to tell for certain.
Those costumes are too cute :love
The hours are just a bonus to my income. We've been living on my income alone for 4 years.

I decided to monitor it. I did some research and I found it isn't uncommon for kids to lose their baby teeth early (around 4-5) because their adult teeth are right behind and the tooth didn't have enough of a root or blood supply to repair. And even if there is a bit of root left over it would likely reabsorb. I'm not too worried about his teeth shifting because his teeth are so tiny that none of the touch each other anyway. It's so odd how different kids can be. Thing 2's baby teeth are 50-100% bigger than Thing 1's baby teeth. Thing 1's teeth have always looked too small for his head.

Ooh interesting. I didn't know that.
Bonus income is always a good thing :love That's awesome that you don't really have to worry about it then.

I make over 4x an hour what DH can make working the jobs he can get. So we decided it was better to have him at home to be more hands on with the kids so I can work rather than having him work for minimum wage. This job is slightly higher than minimum wage and it is what he used to do when we lived in the DC metro area, but we are going through this more for the extra cash (which we will stock up until baby comes and is fine and then we'll throw what is left on our debt). Honestly, I could make almost as much money as DH would if I just worked 40 hours instead of 35, but I enjoy my Monday mornings off.

Good morning everybody :frow

I think everyone here had a late start today  I pulled into the parking lot one minute late and was only the third car! I'm just glad I made it in today. Yesterday I was ten minutes late :hmm Thankfully I can make adjustments with lunch or at the end of the day.

Good morning Fishy :frow have a great Wednesday!!

good morning! 3rd shift is a killer! especially with kids. waiting for a foot or more of snow today!

Good morning Cheepteach :frow have a great Wednesday and stay warm.

 I hear ya! If things keep going like this with our work I'm going to try to work from home Mondays :fl

That sounds so nice. We were almost there, but hubs got itchy feet and left his position before he should have. Now we're back at square one basically. Not counting the house and his student loans, we had two years left, which would now have been one year :th

We've paid off about 13-14k of debt this year. Still have 38 to go (not counting the house). We would have done more but we paused paying extra until after baby comes. We got rid of 2 credit cards and DH's student loans. We paid off my student loans before we had Thing 1.

I can so relate.... We were debt free (except the mortgage & student loan) and 3 years from retirement, when we moved here and then I lost my job. Spent over two years unemployed... I'll probably be working another ten years to get us there.

We are hoping to have all debt besides the mortgage paid of in 2-3 years and the mortgage with in 10 years after that.

Money sucks
I shredded one card and cancelled two others. I thought I was doing okay with those two, but ended up mixing up my pmts (one has a much higher pmt) and started getting late fees. I had stopped monitoring them because they're cancelled. Not smart. It was about three months before I realized what happened :(.
That was the most recent mess up 🙄
Toilets finally fixed :) $130 for that. Turns out we could have just bought the bigger toilet auger for $70 instead of the small one. The guy was in and out before I finished my phone call to the vet!
Im just glad its done. He said our toilet sucks :gig:gig It has a large space on the second curve of the S that the smaller auger just couldn't deal with.

What does your hubs have a degree in?
