Official Squatch Watchers

Meant to update poor Mandy's injury.
It looks like all the blood was from a nip to the lower back of her comb near the base. Poor girl got the leghorn comb size from her folks.
Crossing my fingers she doesn't get a touch of frostbite in our coming cold.

Today will see me cleaning the quack house and putting extra bedding as well as spot cleaning the chicken houses.
I think I should add a baffle to the lower vent in Bitty's house.

Good morning!
I'm fine, no goose egg my little trip was a solid face first.
It rocked me a little but I shook it off.
The ground got the worse end lol.:)
Glad you are fine.
Sorry for the ground lol

This stupid 2008 Chev truck has a bracket in the way that has to come off to take the battery out, or get the ground side wire off. I imagine the newest ones are worse
Reminds me of having the battery in my Kia changed. It wouldn't hold a charge but sort of randomly. (Think it could have been from the accident) So I have it tested and it comes up bad. I ask if they can change it for me. They said it depends on the year. Some newer models of my car you have to remove part of the protective panels under the hood to access battery bolts. They aren't allowed to remove those. My battery was hard enough. It needed a 2ft long socket extension to reach a bolt I never would have known was there. Luckily the guy at the store knew about it and had the tools. But then he dropped the bolt and couldn't reach it. 🙄 His arms were to thick to fit in the space. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We were both laughing about how absurd the whole situation is. Who comes up with this complicated crap?

And I thought My escape looked like a nightmare to change. I forget about it, it's due for a battery soon too.

They want us to take it to the dealership :barnie

Yes. That last line X1000.
A PT Cruiser requires removal of fenders to change spark plugs.
It is built in dealership $$.

The backyard mechanic has been getting systematically phased out for quite some time now. Too sad honestly.
When we got our ‘07 Torrent about 10 yrs ago, I opened up the hood and said, out loud, where’s the engine? Where’s the air filter? Where’s anything?!
I cant imagine what they look like now. Last I heard those stupid touchscreens are now standard too. I’m not against tech, I just dont want a screen in my face when driving. I have enough to look at already. I do live the backup camera and heated seats 🤣🤣
