Good morning! The holiday fits I'm officially guest free!
Well not entirely, I've still got the pup due to that great grandson Mil took in is mean to animals and she's too old for any nonsense and can't fight back.
Jerry is in solitary for breakfast again for being overly perky, he calms down but it takes an hour at least.
I'm sick to death of hubs telling me I'm going to make him mean doing that, it is absurd in so many ways.
He's hung up on Jerry being like the games he kept, these birds are about zero percent the same as games.
What do I know though not like I've seen pretty much everything by now.

Good morning all
57 this morning. Looks like it's going to be frost free from now on. ... so I will plant the tomatoes.

Last night a hen with a 3&1/2 week old chick decided she was done sitting at night. I had heard it complaining following her around yesterday afternoon. At lock up she was on a high roost and it was in the nest box calling. I knocked her off, but she ignored it. Didn't call for it to come up. So I put it with an injured younger chick in the house. Poor thing was cold, it was about 67 at the time. If there had been a dz chicks they might have been ok, but a lonely only wouldn't have made it through the night.
 
Me too Mol, the pup isn't one bit of trouble she's actually a different dog without them.
I thought there might be some separation anxiety but nope she's having a blast.
Took her out with me this morning and she was darting around like a puppy rolling in chicken poops.
Glad you caught your chick before it was too late for it, you inside one was probably grateful for company too.

I'm going to, the vast majority is going to table rock which is always packed on holidays but I'm staying here with my toothless friend.
If it is warm enough I'll blow up the pool for everybody to play in, maybe get some of the aroma off my house guest as a bonus.
Poor thing was stinky before the poop now she's awful lol.
